I still don't agree with your view, nor do I see your debate as being anything but a means to and end - which is you stifling others in order to comfortably surf at work. You know how I feel, and I understand your mind will not be changed. What's the point of continuing to instigate?
Not having boobies in your avatar is stifling? How? Please elaborate...

People will know that you took a picture of a girls boobies if you post it in the NSFW: ***** thread. (Or if you post it in AG) Do you really need everyone on the forum to see that someone with ***** is willing to hold a sign for you?

I never said you cannot do it. We can both call each other butt-hurt all day long and probably be right in our own perspective but never accomplish anything.

You're just repeating the same things I said earlier about pointless arguments. It's a waste of time attempting to talk to any of you, especially since you're in your "mob" trying to "pwn" me.

I do not grasp for anything. You should know I can keep this chit up all day, whether I'm by myself or not.

Jokes on you jack.

My avatar didn't have boobies. It had some cleavage. It wasn't NSFW. If it was NSFW I wouldn't have bothered putting it up.

I'm sure everyone said the same thing about Hitler when he started stifling and destroying unapproved communication and literature. Don't take it literally, just in comparison. This forum is already censored enough, the last thing we need is MORE of it.

Not being able to have ***** in your avatar does not make you a martyr.

Yes - you got me. I'm a stereotypical troll. I don't own a Z, never have.

I do not intend to stifle others. Can you explain to me why you have this dire NEED to have a rack in your avatar? Does it make you feel better about yourself? You still haven't answered that question.

Also, I wasn't attempting to instigate - I was just pointing out who ran from the arugment first (even though you never actually compiled a worthwhile, well-thought-out, mature argument in the first place)

Exactly. We were having a civil discussion until this post.

https://my350z.com/forum/showpost.ph...7&postcount=46

It's ok to be upset that someone made you take your avatar down. It's ok to question it. It's ok to have a civil discussion about it too. But don't come around here posting like little Timmy throwing a tempter tantrum because he didn't get his pack of M&M's at the Wal-mart checkout counter....

Does the forum really need to be run like anarchy ? We have set ourselves apart from other large sites like NASIOC, Honda-Tech, Viper Alley, LS1/Tech, etc. This is a fairly friendly place to hang out at and those of all levels of enthusiast and all ages feel comfortable here. Hell, fowlman is about 132 and he still hangs out here.

Look, man, thats the point...

We are not suggesting to censor the forum. We are suggesting that it is more fair for us to keep items that MIGHT be NSFW listed as NSFW. I cant speak to your avatar, but just because there's no nipple doesn't make it SFW. There are a couple of people with naked chicks covering strategic locations that I consider NSFW despite the lack of "Pornographic nudity".

It's just you being courteous to other forum members by not putting it in your avatar if it MIGHT be NSFW.

I tried the courteous bit a few pages back. It didn't sink in

It wouldn't take a mob to pwn you but okay.

As stated... I posted MY opinion and it automatically means that all of DNF feels this way.

Sure I did. I never intended to write a book on the subject, if that's what you require (not that I will). I could have paid Stephen Hawking to argue the fact that you were wrong and you would still argue.

It's not about the RACK in my avatar. Stop trying to spin this and be passive aggressive (which you know damn well you're being). It's the principal that you feel you have the right to dictate what others can and can't do, even when they are not in the wrong. I'm not sure if this gives you some strange sense of accomplishment or power, but given the option to just turn avatars off you insist on forcing others to conform to your values of what is really "work safe". Are you comprehending what I am saying?

VO-

I never threw a "temper tantrum. You're only saying that to be passive aggressive because I brought your avatar up. Your avatar is every bit as NSFW as my old one, but you're so defensive you refuse to see that. The argument that was made earlier saying basically "words aren't as bad as pictures" is weak. NSFW is NSFW.

it's not just dnf guys who have an issue with NSFW avatars. i also do, as well as a host of others who just don't speak up about it in fear of getting ragged on by people such as yourself.

just because nips and **** aren't shown, doesn't make a picture safe for work or non-pornographic.

the mods moderate as they see fit. if they didn't agree with whoever it was that reported your avatar, they wouldn't have taken it down. i doubt ONE single person was the cause of your avatar deletion.

our definition of "work safe" is pretty universal. most people's coworkers and superiors would frown upon t&a but have no problem with us browsing online during the work day. hell my boss sits in the cube next to me and he's online all day long, just as i am. we still get our work done, we're not unproductive, but we work in a corporate environment where pictures such as your former avatar, elyse's ***, and quite a few others' avatars aren't appropriate.

I'd prefer to relate it to anything that is PG in a movie, as stated in the TOU. Have you seen a PG movie? They show women in bikinis in them.

Does this make sense?

again, according to you. just like to some random person your avatar was NSFW but to you it was SFW.

if you feel like an avatar is NSFW, REPORT IT!

so like i said earlier to your 'mods & admins determine wheather or not an avatar is NSFW'.

its really not up to them is it? if you REPORT IT then in your eyes its obviously NSFW is it? and said person gets a PM to take it down.

so while it says its up to the 'mods & admins' its really not is it?

Well, if it's not up to your par, then turn the avatar function off or report it.

I've already excepted my fate that I will have to take my chances on getting caught with risque avatars on my screen. I will never report anyone nor ask them to take their avatar down, but I will have a civil discussion about it and bring up valid points...

See my above quote. In the TOU it is clearly defined as a "PG" rating. If you'd see it in a PG movie, then it is legal under TOU.
