It seems with the upgrade, some of the settings were reset to default. The time limit has been changed to 2 weeks (same as before the upgrade).

The 2 weeks time frame for editing was put into effect much before the upgrade happened. This was due to certain incidents that occurred with deleting of the contents on the forum by select members, including a [ex] staff member.

As far as I know, currently, there's no option to change the settings (i.e., edit time frame) just for the sponsors or any usergroups. It can only be done to all members or to none. So, regretfully, all I can say is that the time frame is going to stay, at least for now. I will, however, ask the IB personnel if such programming could be done to allow more flexibility (i.e., for sponsors).

We have tried as best we can to work out a way in which sponsors could edit their posts for longer, however, we were unsuccessful

If a sponsor needs to update a thread - usually posting in the same thread with the update will work fine.
If that doesn't suffice, we suggest contacting a moderator to make changes on their behalf.
