I was trying to help somebody out and point them to part of the service manual for the 350z which is located on 350 - tech .com but if you enter it in it changes it to this *********.com Whats the deal it's a good source of information.

 

A lot of bad blood from years ago between the two sites is the reason.

hmm, somehow i missed that bad blood. i thought it was some perceived (wrong, i may add) competition thing between the boards and some got banned over here for that silliness. really is silly to word censor any other car site since the whole point is to share information and if one site has something that the other doesn't i see no big deal in linking that. matter of fact, that happens all the time over at tech; there are a bunch of links to stuff on this site and they do not word censor other Z sites because of some perceived "competition".

which is plain silly. posting a link to another z site that has information is not advertising that site, nor is it spamming. knowing the history of this question/topic even mentioning this stuff as being silly/stupid may get me banned but oh well.

That's NOT the point, the point is that the behavior and actions related to that one particular site got it filtered out. You quoted TOU #3, the first line of which pretty much summarizes what happened.

Actually, that list pretty much tells the whole story. The admins and mods here are pretty understanding, forgiving and lenient for the most part. You have to really go out of your way to get perma-banned. By the same token, for another site to get filtered out.... a lot must have happened.

 

You haven't filtered out showstopers yet, so what does it really take?

 

 

the tech was started by a member here. It was started because of the overbearing and trigger happy mods here like Mike Wazowski. Which is ironic because they have a trigger happy mod there now... Dogzilla.

 

 

so by saying that, you really do not know what happened. i'm not trying to start a whole war or anything, i am trying to understand that even after 5 years, this petty crap is still being played out. you stated the first line is the reason it is filtered. the whole point is the first line of the TOU i was mentioning, if you are going to filter one site you need to filter them all.

 

I know there is probably a reason for why 350ztech is banned but what about mygtr an ex mod runs that site so people will have a place to discuss GTR's and IB pretty much shat on him. Seems thats just the way they are though. Money money money thats all that matters.
