Default forum freezes for 5 seconds on EVERY visit???

this is the only forum this happens to me on, and it happens no matter what computer i use...

i come to the site, and it loads... then as i go to drag the scroll bar down, it doesnt move bc the page is frozen for 5 to 10 seconds, then when its finished loading the stupid adds, the scroll bar goes wild for a second as if its tryin to catch up... its annoying bc it does it everytime i refresh, or click a new page... its been detering me from coming to the forum as often as i normally would bc we've all be spoiled with such fast internet and instant loads, that when it only takes about 10 seconds, it feels like so much longer.

i feel like eversince theres been there irrelivant adds for things like citibank or what not, it has been jackin up the forum, and its speed...

i cant be the only one bc it does it even when i log on, on friends computers outside of my home.

what gives????

(sorry if it sounds rude, no intention to come off complaining really im just curious if it happens to anyone else and if it does, will it ever be solved?)

its some stupid script that the page runs for ads (i think its for ads), eventually in firefox a window will come up while its frozen asking if id like to stop running the script. i tried using a script blocker but there are so many on this website that it becomes counter intuitive to have to click yes or no everytime it asks if i want to block a script. so yeah not a whole lot. i researched it and a lot of other forums running the script have threads like this quoting the same problem

its annoying... and they're ads on here no one would really care about. its a nissan forum but i see chevy ads n what not.

its upsetting how fast society sells out to make a buck. like how satellite radio used to be 100% commercial free, now its like listening to FM with the same garbage interuptions instead of 24/7 streaming music/talk lol... or how mtv2 was created bc mtv stopped playing music videos all together, n now mtv2 is all tv shows as well... and now theyre airing TRL and garbage on MTV HITS for a channel you pay extra for for 24/7 music... its annoying... but ah well. i cant ***** much about this site bc i dont pay for it and i understand that. but it does make me visit ALOT less. maybe twice a week or so, so i can imagine im not the only one (i know its different... yet the same, bc im sure the ads on here are to make some sort of money, or else why inconvienience us?)

According to the IB techs, it was an advertisement that was causing it. They've since identified the issue and have addressed it. It should be fixed, but if you're still having issues, please post up.

^^ I still experience the problem. It's intermittent, and very annoying.

It appears to be fixed. I haven’t had the problem over the last couple of days.

It took 18 bloody seconds for me to be allowed to start typing after I hit the quote button. My 1.0 Gbps connection is definitely not the problem. Problem a reason why I visit this site less and less.

yup, it continually happens to me as well. this has been getting progressively worse, and has been occurring for 3 weeks, maybe longer.

I am running the forum in the most current version of FF, with no add-ons. I also run it through IE6 and have issues.

I run it at home with a strong script blocker, and still encounter the issue.

Sometimes It will even fail to ping. How can that be related to the add?

Spoke to IB techs today. The servers went down today. They are currently being restored. The site will gradually gain speed again...
