Todd.

You are pretty close to my estimate.... I made a spreadsheet, something I should NEVER have done, that has every single mod that I have on the car now, and the $ loss amount of every mod that I took off the car and sold.

Sharif.. this will definitely make oyu cry. We are easily in the $30k range for mods in this car after the engine is built. But hey, that's what it costs to make a beautiful/luxury 700 crank hp G35 sleeper (same deal for a beautiful 350z).

I hesitate to even type the number as I am not including any of the engine build or future audio, but I am at a conservatively rounded $40K. I am so glad to know that there are others as crazy as me.

Worth it? Yes!

Do any of you regret spending all this money to go faster and make the car look better (bodykits)?

If you add the price of the car plus 30-40k in mods you could be driving a Viper SRT-10 !!

my opinion:
i think the z fixed up is cooler than a huge american muscle car with tons of displacement creating power..i'm more impressed with a smaller, more sophisticated turboed motot, making similar or MORE power than a viper!

I think what bothers me is the resale value with all these mods. I spent over 25k into my 01 Mustang GT and when I sold it I lost all the money I spent for the mods because they don't increase the value of the car.

At least with a Viper you've got reliable stock HP with decent resale.

You have a good point but you will loose money if you try to resale the car here in the US. The best way to recoup your money is to sell the car to a buyer in another country like Q8. Other then that you will have to part the car out.

when you build a car like this...there is a very easy solution to not losing money on your investment...keep it, drive it...by all means...DON'T RESELL IT!!!

Nope the 433 is on a stock motor at 9psi with the greddy kit. I have yet to install the build block. Its still in the machine shop. I think I will get the motor back sometime in late jan early feb. Aiming for 550 to 600rwhp

The key is to never start modding, because once the mod bug bites it never lets go.

If you own a sports car is it even possible to keep it bone stock?

I don't think so..

Even if I owned a Ferrari I would still buy a tubi exhaust system.

It never ends. I like what your doing. Its always good to see people make that kind of power without using FI. Have fun with it and keep us up to date.

i still love the sound of the turbo...pssssst! call me crazy... no really, i never owned a turbod car before, i love learning about it and there's something about squeezing a ton of power out of a smaller engine...i've NEVER been impressed by big american muscle engines ...like the saying goes...the replacement for displacement is forced induction!
