Default APS TT on a 5AT?

I am in the process of buying a APS TT, but I like to know if somebody installed the APS TT kit on a 350Z 5AT. I will appreciate your advice.

Thank You
Cesar

i haven't had experience with an APS kit on the 5AT, but we have done an ATI Procharger on one. Shifting at WOT under boost is scary, the tranny freaks out. But other than that it works quite well. It ran a 12.7 on street tires a couple weeks ago. They haven't had any problems with slipping, but they don't do WOT shifts. Be sure to keep it in manual mode if you plan on shifting under boost.

To correct the shifting you need to get one of these:

Would a TS reflash help ?

I'm also installing a TT kit (Greddy) on my 5AT G35 coupe in Jan.

Cesar,
I think they are currently working on a 5AT car in Australia. I use to work with one of APS's engineers on twin turbo projects here in the states and it was always fun working with auto cars. Had a twin turbo 402ci Z06 'vette down here a couple weeks ago with an auto, 650rwhp and 820rwtq at 10psi. SICK!!!!!!! Got another twin turbo f-body auto at the shop now getting the tranny built after blowing it up with 450rwhp, 550rwtq at 5psi. It's hard to get a tranny to hold up to the torque levels at lower rpm's that the tt systems will throw out. I actually need to give Dave a call out there so I will see if he has done any testing yet.

You will want a new torque converter for sure as well as a tranny cooler to keep things from running too hot. A Valve body upgrade would also be recommended. The TS reflash was needed by some with SCs, but this helped because the rpms were increased to 7200rpms. I would be careful if bumping the rpms with a TT setup and no upgraded internals. If you run conservative boost you would be ok with the bumped rpms, but if you go all out it could result in major issues.

One thing I noticed . Mine shifted fine at 6,800rpm in auto . I put on a smaller pulley and my fuel curve was off and very rich...and it wouldnt sift in auto . I had it tuned to 11.5 A/F and then it shifted fine again
