My Tour of Arias Pistons: Pistons gallore!

During my visit to watch the JGTC race last week, and in between visiting my parents, I made a stop into Arias pistons. They machined my pistons on the spot, and I took some neat pics. Enjoy. 
When you are inside the gallery, you can click on the main pic if you want to enlarge it. The first few pics compare the old piston design to the new piston design. Notice the cut skirts.

Thank for sharing the pics . Must have been interesting to tour there shop . Now the pistons are a little lighter...cant hurt

Yeah...I like the little mini-bike pistons...so cute. 
Unfortuantely, they would permit me to take pictures of their huge CNC machines or any other technical stuff....ya new know who might be watching.

Yup, those are forged billet AL blanks. The piston starts as a long tube of billet, and then it is cut to length, heated up to insane temps, and then this pile driver type device essentially mashes the piston from the behind.....and so you end up with that blank slug. From there, the piston is CNC machined. I get all giddy about this stuff.
