Default Rebuild is getting close to being done

Last Friday my heads finally got back from the machine shop , so the shop was able to start putting her back together . I called today and talked to Bob at HPMotorsports . He has the motor back in the car and has started buttoning every thing back up.I was afraid we were going to have to order new lifter cups because they had to replace 2 valves that got damaged when the ringland broke off in the # 5 cyl . and went thru the valves and ended up in the cats .He said the Nismo cams went in with no problems .
Wish the shielded wires for the Crank sensor and cams were ready . Would have made it easier , but it can be done after the car is up and running . I have a new fuel map ready to go into the piggyback [ thanks to dfw350z ] The map is only set up to run the 550 injectors under vacuum , boost portion of the map will be done after she is broken in .
So Im getting excited to have it running again . The only bad thing about it is it snowed last night [ 5 inches ] and another 8 more is expected tonight . SO even if its done , putting some miles on it to get it broke in will not be done till the streets clear off a little.
I would like to thank every one that has helped me and every one that posts threads for me to read . The people that take the time to post , do R&D on this motor , That make new products to solve problems that are related to F/I...all are a great help...THANKS
Im sure I'll be asking for more help as soon as she is up and running . Im going to tune it myself . I will not be taking any chances with timing this time . I have a OBDII to hook up to see what the ECU is doing . And a datalogger to do A/F and timing
Again thanks alot......Bill

Glad to hear that! I can't wait to see some dyno numbers. Until then you have some snow to shovel that will keep you busy.

I think I will run it for 20 or 30 minute...change oil , and do 500 miles before I start building a boost fuel map for winter

Give it at least 1500 miles before you tune it for high boost.

What hp/boost were you running when the engine went? I was thinking about getting vortech and running low boost and not doing internals. Just curious, thanks.
