Sorry to hear about it...but you were asking for it without some sort of timing retard and A/F monitoring.

Like so many have already said, sorry about the loss. I lost my engine too after only have my GReddy TT for about 4 weeks after install. The only good thing is that so many have been down that road before you and can help you out with advice and connections on where to buy stuff. Good luck.

I know I was asking for it, I was trying to take it easy but you know how it goes in the rain. I wish I had 4 weeks, this happened in like the first hour. How long did it take to get your car back together giong deep?

One cold night a punched it in 3rd and got a booost spike of 7.5 psi. This happened 3 times within the same run.

Yep I think that's probably what happed because I only went from 1 -3rd

that's actually one of my options I was thinking about, another was AEBS cause it's really close by to me but the price is so high. Any other shops anyone knows about that does this kind of work?thanks for all the input

It comes with everything you will need to make a rock soild bottom end.
SD, I think AA is a little far isn't it? Yep so far here's what I have to choose from and I know there's a bunch more options out there I'll have to search for on the net, any feedback is appreciated thanks for all your input

SGP
AEBS
drop the engine again stock(stupidest choice)

Sorry about your loss..

Given that I unfortunatel yhave a lot of experience at this, let me tell you what I would do.

1) Pull the bad engine first. See if you can reuse the crank and heads.

2) If so, just buy a brand new block (or a used block).

3) I would jsut stick with the stock size (3.5 L) and get the pistons/rods/studs. Sleeve if you are planning on spraying on top of the 18-20psi of boost you are planning to blow (I am sure).

4) PM me with your phone number if you wish. I don't mind helping out a fellow G/Z owner.

BTW... I do have a set of pistons that arias provided me with to recoup the costs from the slight misdesign they originally had going.... So, I am selling those, and they will be available this week. I need the money...let me know...

Gurgen

Again, I feel for you....sorry for your loss

going deep and my engines are still apart...if u get all of the parts...2-3 weeks from that point...pull motor and disassemble: 2-3 days... machine shop: 1 week....reassemble motor and re-install: 1 week....
that is in a perfect world....so, 3 weeks is probably the best estimate..get the hard to get parts on ordser ASAP: main and head studs, pistons, rods...

Isn't this the same company that had them listed on Ebay with the wrong part number and were already taking peoples money for them even though they didn't have them??

I appreciate the fact that I worked so hard to bring these to you guys and now you are sending people to a company that has lied about them from the start.

I talked to ARP last week and they assured me that my 25 sets of main studs will be the very first sets sent out once ready at the end of the month.

I also have ~18 sets of head studs in stock

When I needed a set ASAP and no one had them, competitionwarehouse told me they had them in stock and could ship same day.

... over a week later i get my head studs in, still no mains after 2 weeks. no notification or updates or any contact at all from them.

you guys are right!... i was scrambling to get the head studs AND the main studs, i checked with about 20 different vendors, no hard feelings about who i'm sending my money to on an extremely SMALL order...i have bought almost ALL of my main parts from board vendors, i try to support this site as much as i can....but this place does claim to be one of the biggest distributors and that they would have the part in first..maybe they weren't telling the entire truth....
THE FACT IS: my motor is disassebled, my car is out of commision, i need MAIN studs to put it back together, no one else had the part, these guys "claimed" they did!!!!

OK?...you tell me you would do anything different, you aren't in the situation of trying to get your blown up motor reassembled ASAP!!!

Take it easy Kyle, its not like were starting a group buy from them. Some of us with blown engines are just a little desperate to get our Zs back on the road, thats all.

When my engine blew, I didn't have a single part or list of parts for an engine rebuild. Luckily, sharif was crucial on getting me started. I bought a used short block from turbotoys and received the block about five days later. Since since, I have received everthing else you could imagine from gauges to a clutch. However, I just recently found out the crankshaft was out of spec, so I am buying a new one from Performance Nissan. PM me if you want to see my parts lists and where I bought them from.

It might be worth it, I know of at least on or more that have bent rods or had a failure like that with a hole on the side that were not FI and the engine was covered so I am sure they may do it as long as they do not know you had FI.

The problem is that you would get a stock engine but at least you would save the cost of a new engine.

might be more trouble since i have to change the fuel line, injector harness, fuel rail, remove the turbo manifold, turbos and then probably wait.
