Procharger...whats MAX boost with internal mods???
How much HP and torque can I get out of the stock Z motor by adding a cam, pistons or heads. Are there any packages that can be bolted on. I am going to run a procharger and want to run as much boost as possible, so I def. plan on lowering the CR to maybe 8.5:1.
24lbs on the stock unit, but thats a realative number to the VE of the engine.
In other words, headers, cams, and other engine mods will lower the amount of boost that is seen in the manifold, but increase the overall amount of air forced into the engine.
Sorry but from experience I don't think anyone will ever see 18psi of boost or more unless your running no intercooler in which case the heat will blow your motor from detonation

Your procharger won't flow enough air to make use of a very low compression ratio of 8.5:1 and work better with a litte higher compression ratio. If you put on the big 44 tooth cog pulley your blower will flex forward break the larger belt. Call CPRacing if you want more info on this, they have witnessed it first hand. But the good news is that if you can take care of the torque flexing issue you'll have 450-500rwhp with zero lag which makes for a very fun driving experience. I've taken my Z on roadcoarse a few times and I perfer superchargers for power in turns and quick throttle response. Turbo's make bigger power but unless you have ultimate throttle control the power easily gets away from you very fast in cornering. With a supercharger you always know what to expect
