Default SES Light and Bad Gas???

Just figured I would post this here, cause I have F/I and you guys are probably the most knowledgable on the boards, but....

I got an SES light last time I put gas in my car, but I just said, damn my test pipes finally caught up to me(1700 miles now). I only put like 10 gallons or so in it and I noticed a little that the car felt slightly sluggish, but thought it was just in my mind. Now today I put gas in my car again, and as soon as I did the SES light no longer lit up. Could a bad tank of gas caused the SES light to come on?

Gas cap lose. Thats my 2 cents worth. Make certain that your gas cap clicks. Good-luck. I have test pipes on my 04 Z The ses light only stays on for 200 miles if i remember correctly then went off on their own.

my SES light comes on whenever i fill up with Phillips 66 93 octane gas. did it twice to me, then once I fill up with a different station, shell, it goes away after abut 200 miles.

so either bad gas or like daddyz said, gas cap.
