One headed monster...bad engine humor, sorry.

Look Ma, no knock sensor...

Its amazing on the difference just two weeks can make! I remember you guys posting about all the delays and stuff, and then BAM....mulitple VQ's are coming to life VERY quickly.

Those pullies look sic...

Todd and Ernie. You should ask the shop to balance your clutch/flywheel assembly as well. They do this seperately, just to insure it is perfect as well. Oftentimes, aftermarket flywheels are ever so slightly out of balance. Normally, when people install a clutch, they dont do this, but since the motor is out, and you are striving for perfect...might as well!

Its my understanding that they were balanced at the machine shop, because along with the internals, they were also sent our clutch/flywheels. Thanks for the advice though.

yah...the flywheel went with our forged internals to the machine shop---their purpose was to balance the entire assembly w/ the ATS flywheel...is this what you are referring to sharif???

just to bring you all up to speed...
Last week on "Days of Our Lives Awaiting the ressurection of our 350z's"<--I know if I had a catchier title I would have a shot on FOX...
we brought you ernie's motor, fully assembled, transmission and all, ready to go back home...

Brody and Chops said that installing the engine (at least bolting in the tranny and attaching the motor to the mounts) took less than 1 hour this past saturday!

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls...the moment we've all (especially going deep) been waiting for...

the motor IS IN THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

The AAM fuel system in place with the fuel pressure regulator...

The kit fit well, except the feed line was about a foot longer than needed...easy enough fix.

!!!Full Frontage Pullies!!!...someone through her a dollar, look at her move!

following the return line

So, from here, the fule system needs to be completed in install (shorter feed line)...exhaust bolted back together...and..wait, there's more!!!

Mary, tell em what he's won...

A NEW RADIATOR!!!!

What a view...so pretty...

AND AS SOON AS THEY ARE DONE WITH ERNIE's CAR, THEY HAVE PROJECT # 2(My Car-PORSCHE EATER)
I can't wait...looks like mine should be completed late next week or so- I hope!)

Where we left off w/ my motor, fully built bottom end, heads torqued down, awaiting timing chain...

That's all for now... another built Z should come to life (fire up the engine for the first time) within the next 24 hours!!!

Mine still has about 264 hrs (11days) <--can you tell how excited I am to get my baby back...counting the frickin hours!!!

TODD, Albuquerque, NM...signing off...
