was this the ONLY problem with building up the block that came out of an automatic?

that's the way i see it...my car isn't ready, but if it was, i would be bummed because we are in a frickin winter wonderland snowstorm...my car will be up and running in a few weeks, by then the weather should clear up... and BTW, you can hump my car, but have your "happy ending" in ernie's gas tank!

You ever get the cost of the coating? Is it just powdercoated? Man making good progress! I got an engine off ebay and when I got it the serial number was scratched off and on the tranny the serial number plate was busted off. My luck huh, I'm hopefully going to get my refund in 3 days so I can start the process of finding me an engine. Just a warning be very careful when purchasing engine or car parts off ebay there's some really shady peeps on there and they're on ebay.

To me buying stuff off ebay is not worth it. You might save a couple of hundred dollars but you might get scammed and be out a couple of thousand dollars.

Both of us are in Albuquerque, NM..mile high city 550ft altitude
we are BOTH having all of our work done at SPEEDLAB...they will now be one of the other 350z experts in the country, building 2 fully built, twin turbo 350z's back to back...they will be working out a built motor package deal...contact me for details, their website should be up and running with the info as well, i'll keep you posted.

Default My motor is in...the day has come!

SO...update on my car...now that ernie's ride is at least running (they are still finishing up some minor things on his car)...they have had a chance to really devote more time to MY project...i know it's all about MEEEEEEE

the engine is in

my helix test pipes

fuel system is in..almost completely connected up

not much more to show at this point...my car should be running end of next week...they told me my motor went together at least 3X faster than ernies' (helps getting a practice motor to work with-ernie, they accidentally replaced your crank with a baked pototoe-your car has 3 seconds to live-J/K)

so...I will post more pics next week

I never got a response on the coating cost and what it was??? Anyone? Thanks!

Also on ebay yes you might get scammed so you have to be really careful if not you will get jacked! Some items you will save way more then 100 or 200 bucks depending on the item you're buying but there's some pretty good deals there. Ask alot of questions is one thing and if the seller isn't answer with what you want to know then don't buy it's simple as that. You probably just don't want to waste your time finding deals, you must have money to spend I bet. I agree though it does waste time diggin for deals but I'm not so rich so I have to save where I can.
