Default Vortech done but car wont start.

Just got done with my install and the car wont start. Car turns over but just wont start! I double checked my wiring and all seems well. I checked the plugs and connections are all good! I bought the ECU patch wiring harness for my install. Can I unplug it and plug in the OEM harness and see if the car starts? Or will this harm the car? Any ideas?

G352NV- Is the wiring harness pretty easy to hook up to the ss box. Is it pretty complicated, or is it just pretty straight forward? Just wondering becuase I got my patch from Richard over at autosportwiring, but i havnt received it yet. So how was the install on the SC? I finally got mine last Saturday. Just tring to find some time to put it in. Do you have any other pictures of your install?

Thanks

GG

I have a few pics but I dunno if they are going to help you. Its a ***** to put on. Ive been around cars all my life and lack no tools and it was still tough! The problem is the instuctions SUCK ****! As for the wiring the patch makes things really easy! I just got in a bit of a hurry. Just double check you conections. I took the harness into the house and made my connections. If you have any questions just ask. Im sure by the time you do the install it will still be fresh in my mind.

The patch harness is very simple as long as you get the diagram right and check and recheck your work. The diagram that comes with the patch harness shows the inside of the female connector. That's the side of the patch that plugs into the main ECU harness. The male end of the patch harness plugs into the ECU. It's very important to keep this straight because when you start cutting and soldering onto the color coded wires, you need to know which cut half goes to the ECU and which to the harness. You actually don't need to know the numbers of the wires on the connector diagram. You just need to match wire colors to the wires on the SS box (which are described in the Vortech instruction manual).

I gave some extensive instructions in a recent thread. You may want to search for it.

One other thing-- it's perfectly acceptable to wire up the patch harness but leave it unconnected as long as you leave the cogged belt off the blower. In fact, if you ever have a system problem, this is how you'd drive your car without any problem. You can even leave the patch harness connected when you take off the cogged belt in order to drive under NA--just pull out the fuse going to the auux fuel pump power and you can leave the SS box interconnected to the ECU harness. Then, if you have any problems starting or running, you can still disconnect the patch harness and reconnect the main harness to the ECU as stock.
