Default Today is a good day! Build-up coming soon!

You know why? cause my girlfriend have decided for me to go ahead and build up my engine and get it done right! Now I need some help from you guys on what I need to buy and what I should have the shops do. I will probably spend somewhere between $7500-$8300 for this project. And you know whats the best part of this is? All I had to do was switch days off with her sister since we all work together. I know its not a trade off but she said to me, "since I am doing my build-up, at least swith days off with my sister!" I am looking forward to this so bad. I been meaning to do this since the first day I got my turbos.

Now is the time to start shopping for forged internals!

So Sharif, Charles, and whoever out there that can help me, Please I mean Please help me through this!

P.S.

Charles, I will tell Rob at Zcar that you said hi!

I'm sure Sharif can help you with getting all the internals stuff, but just to save him from typing...

The core essentials:
8.6:1 Arias Pistons w/ .020" overbore (or custom 9.0:1 w/ .020" overbore)
Pauter Forged Rods
ARP Main and Head Studs
ATS Twin/Triple-Disc Carbon-Carbon Clutch
A set of those Half-Shafts in the GB

Good luck...

Hey ....I lost track of what was going on with your car. Did you blow the engine? Congrats on your upcoming build...It will be nice to have the confidence of a built motor, good tune and of course your twins~

ya I think I blew a head gasket at the drag strip a couple of weeks ago. So I might as well build it up so I can be safe than sorry.

Nice list of goodies. Where are you having the engine built? Do you need a core?

Here is the short list of parts, but I would need to know more about your power goals and purpose for the car before expanding on this.

Pauter Rods
Arias 8.6:1 .020 overbore pistons
ARP Head and Main Studs
Nissan OEM gasket overhaul kit
Nissan OEM rear main seal retainer
Nissan rods bearing set
Nissan crank bearing set
RC 550cc injectors
AAM Fuel Return System with fuel rails and FPR
Walbro 255 (if you dont already have one)
ATS Twin disc carbon clutch
NGK Iridum Spark plugs, one step colder

And tell Rob from ZCarGarage that I said hello too.

I would suggest SGP Racing shortblock...but how you want to do everything depends on the time you have. If you have a while...I would suggest buying the parts seperate and sending them to SGP Racing and just get them to assemble the block...then when you get it. You just have to install it.

If you want it done a little faster...then I would get the parts and just get a local shop to build your engine.

I would suggest SGP if you want to use your car while it is getting built and only have ~4-7 days downtime to install the new motor.

SGP Racing might be cheaper...
