HKS Super Charger Installed "WOW"
HKS doesn't recommend changing the stock plenum & alot of us want to keep the OEM appearance with the HKS kit. That being said has anyone added a Skunk Racing Plenum spacer? I'm wondering how it affects the A/F ratios with the HKS SC & would the OEM engine cover still fit? The Skunk spacer alone can increase HP ~9 on a NA engine. Has this simple thing addressed the air flow issue to the front cylinders? I'm still wondering if HKS will put out a SC or a turbo for the G35c.
just curious.. could you put... lets say a HKS ssq blow off valve and a KJR lightweight (not underdrive) pulley on this? this could be something id like to drop into my baby.. but still looking around

[QUOTE=trefling]Ohh and one last thing. Anyone here who has dished out over 5g's to get F/I may be happy now with say 330rwhp won't be for too long. Especially after they get blown away by a high boost supercharger or turbocharged Z. I promise you that 330rwhp will not be satisfying for long. The real test for HKS will be to see what the HP limits are with their new SC kit. I suspect it won't be able to perform to the level of Vortec or Procharger
The compressor turbine of the HKS kit just looks way too small to provide the CFM's necessary to get big HP numbers.
Here are some numbers for you to look at before you make judgements.
In a comparison between a 408whp Vortech and a 329whp HKS SC.
Calculations are under the curve, or "mean" hp/torque. Basically the avg. hp and torque each unit makes under Peak power.
The Vortech avg. HP = 268
The HKS avg. HP = 264
The Vortech avg. Torque = 286
The HKS avg. Torque = 297
What does this mean? That measly little HKS SC that everyone rags on.. Makes more torque under the curve.
Short answer. HKS makes more useable power. And does so more efficiently. The power curve is better This is a HKS supercharger with no modifications. To get 408 out of a Vortech you have to add modifications. The HKS out of the box will be as fast if not faster than a 408 HP Vortech supercharged car.

Are you sure that is was tuned with the navigator? Did it have to be unlocked or the map wiped before starting?
I currently have the HKS SC but keep being told that the navigator cannot tune it.
