The 308 was a 3rd gear pull, dont know why they did it but they did it first then sprayed it which was 369.9 then 4th gear without the spray was 338.6 I lost all the dyno sheets exept that one, I am going to have to go back by there and get them to print me off some new ones.

Yes, that is info I need to know. Mine is early production 03 but I heard you do not want to reflash and that it will cause more problems than solve ??

I believe American 350z's made after October 2003 are ULEV2. This complies with California's Ultra Low Emission Vehicle 2 requirements.
Are there any '04 350Zs with the HKS supercharger here? Any problems? My Z was built in December '03, so I'm ULEV2.

After contacting several vendors about price I received the following information:
The HKS kit has bugs. Get a different SC.
The HKS Kit has problems with early 2003 Z's.
The HKS now has a different computer and requires tuning by a HKS certified dealer so I can no longer sell it.
ETC.
HKS told me no problems but with a stress test in Japan that means nothing to us here.
I gave up in my quest for information and facts on this kit.
I am scheduled to have the Power Enterprise TT kit installed in two weeks.
Thanks to the HKS owners for providing the information that they did.

My HKS SC has no bugs, runs perfect ! My car is early 2003 release no problems. I would bet the vendors you are talking to can not make much money on the HKS kit and would rather sell you something with better profit margin.

I do not disagree, but it is very difficult to sort it out without actually driving a Z with the kit on it. Can HKS be trusted? Can the dealers be trusted? All they did was lose a sale, they did not gain a sale on a different kit. I am glad that your kit is good, if the dealers did not give a different story than HKS, I would be bolting one on right now. It was too much for me to sort out when I am spending $5500 for the kit without install. Good luck with your setup, and thank you guys for taking the time to give me information.

BTW, anyone who is thinking of purchasing the kit, I got a price quote of $5650 delivered to my door (and he did not know my zip) from Mike at www.forperformance.com, 1-800-296-6560, a first tier authorized distributor (listed on HKS webpage). I could not find a my350z.com sponsor who was that low on the price. He did not say anything negitive about the kit.

Hey, it comes down to personal preference anyway. There were some major reasons I went HKS and they are as follows:
1) Lower boost and richer AFR to protect stock internals and longevity of motor (trade off is of course lowest HP gain but to be honest I have a hard time hooking up the power I have now)
2) Factory finish, you will not find a kit so well engineered around the factory parts and look so OEM you would swear HKS worked with Nissan on this kit. I love the way it looks like it was meant to be there, no "BLING" and that suits me fine.
3) Power is very civilized and very linear, no peaky short power bands. It is strong thoughout the powerband and is very trackable coming out of corners which means fast corner exit speed.
4) This was unknown until it was installed but no issues period as would be expected from HKS engineering. First crank it fired and ran like a top. Smooth solid idle, ran great throughout entire operating range, no "SEL" warning lights.
5) Yes, its more expensive but that is evident when you see that quality of the components and the fact this is a J-Spec kit.

Ran it on the Dyno today, slight pinging when we stomped on it.
Need to find some good fuel and drop a heat range on the plugs and may get better.
305 RWHP at 6096 rpm
289 RWTQ at 4266 rpm
Guys at this shop said not to run platinum plugs, use copper. Whats the good word ?
