Kinda weird, but im finding that in 1st and 2nd gear towards redline im hitting almost 11 lbs boost on my boost gauge. I assumed it was impossible to overboost on a supercharger, that the pulley regulates boost. Anyone have any ideas. Ive also noticed a few times that when im up in the high boost it feels like its falling on its face a bit, like its running out of fuel. Im running the stock rich map right now, and am installing a wideband air fuel tomorrow. Any ideas?
If the temps out are cooler you may see more boost . If you think it maybe on the edge of running out of fuel..DONT...go to redline till you have that A/F gauge put it . Dont blow your motor for not having the right gauges

How is this possible, pulleys dont allow overboosting. Im confused.
cooler temps make for more dense air . If you went to the same rpm in any gear , you will have the same boost level . You may have went higher in rpm's than you have before , or noticed

Money became tight after I had to send the blower in . Plus I got a vacation coming in a couple weeks . So I'm going to have to wait . I know your source , and I'll have to thank him for putting a word in for me

I did talk to vortech today and they said they could send me a different pulley for the front or the jackshaft. I cant see a bigger one on the front fitting as there is maybe a 32nd of and inch clearance between it and the blower housing.

The SC comes with a 3.33 serp pulley . You can go smaller for more boost...3.125 and the 2.87 . If you go bigger...you would lose boost . And I dont think you could get a bigger serp pulley on . The cog pulley on the jackshaft [ other side of serp pulley ] is 32 tooth . You can go bigger there for more boost . BUT the only 34 tooth cog pulley that Vortech has is really wide [ 50mm ] and needs to be cut in half and milled . Even then its harder than hell to get it on . With the 2.87 serp pulley and 32 tooth cog [ stock ].....you are over spinning the suggested rpm for the blower already.
