The ECU is sent to Turbonetics in a provided FedEx shipping container. The reflash is safe, not sure what you mean by 'messed it up'. If they were to damage the ECU, they would replace it at no cost to you. The cost of the reflash and the shipping is included in the cost of the kit.

It sounds like you're interested in this kit and have lots of questions. I'd recommend you read up on some of the thread here in the F/I section of the forum. MIAPLAYA and a few others have made very comprehensive accounts of this kit both during install and on the road. Good luck.

Technosquare will build a custom program to your spec, you just need to communicate what you want them to built into the flash. If you want a custom tune you can feel confident since they developed the T-netics tune, direct custom tunes will cost 600.00.

In theory though, the a/f should be dead on since all of the sensors are in place to allow the ECU to adjust as needed based on the maps.

Or keep the standard T-netics tune comes with the kit. Buy a emanage for ~$300 and spend a couple of hours on the dyno(~$150/hr). Costs about the same but still will have the ability to retune it later if you change your mods or decides to boost up a little.

Turbonetics also offers a "tuner" kit, which comes with everyone except for the reflash, and fuel injectors. You can save a few bucks, and put an eManage system together for about $420 for tuning purposes.

If you like to tinker, then go eManage. If you want a safe out of the box experience, with minimal hassel, then stock with the full kit and reflash.

We have a special until the end of the month on the Turbonetics full kits. $4720 shipped to your door...FYI. [end of shameless plug]

ECU Reflash > Emanage

That is, unless you're building your motor and cranking up the boost.
