I am about to get my built long block from SGP pretty soon and would like some advice on how to break it in. What are your thoughts on this method?

I do agree with one aspect of the break in method. DON'T BABY YOUR CAR! Make sure you vary your RPMs and dont cruise too long at one RPM. Also, don't be afraid to flog on the car. I also feel that mineral oil should be used for the first few changes as it allows additional friction for the motor to properly break-in. After that a good synthetic will perserve this perfectly broken in motor.
