When installing a Vortech is it recommended to have an oil spacer for the extra court of oil as well as a Harness to solder too so you can spare the stock one?
Also does anyone know of any good shops in New York who could perform a nice clean vortech install?
Wanted to install this vortech i am going to purchase but a little worried about what im getting myself into, for the most part i like to drive my Z everyday although i have a spare car i can use.. Should i go through with the whole thing?
Thanks

As said above, yes you should go thru with it. I have been a little disappointed with the results of my install because of the problems I have been seeing, but the added power is definitely nice. If I had it to do over again, I would go with what I had originally wanted which was the Turbonetics single turbo.

Instead, I am ONLY seeing anywhere from 5.0-5.7 psi of boost MAX. This is resulting in a peak HP of about 340HP. I also dynoed somewhere else and got 305HP. That was with headers, test pipes, dual exhaust and the Kinetix manifold. I have had boost leak checks done before and after the blower as well as the Maxflo bypass valve adjusted as many different ways as possible. I guess you could say the problems are costly as I have had to pay about $300 to troubleshoot and find absolutely nothing wrong with the system. I think I just have a Monday or Friday motor. Either that or the QC dept was on vacation the day it was machined!

You should take it off and send it to Vortech and tell them to check it out. They will probably send you a new one. I had a problem with the SS box with my kit and I send it in and got one back in 4 days. (pretty fast service)
