As long as you follow the instructions to the T you should be alright. Honesly though you really should have someone who is more familiar then you with motors assist during the install.

I've got over 7k miles on my car with this kit and I have beat the living hell out of it in that time. So far no problems...

awesome... that really made me feel better cause i read on this forum that everyone is blowing up there engines with FI with the greddy especially...i hope i made the right choice in the turebo selection... i wouldnt where to start if something internally broke on my Z... do u recommend doin anything extra.. i have the borla TD exhaust and thats it... when i do a reflash...is there anything else i should do? dyno tune it? i was told NOT to DYNO tune it because the reflash does this...but im not sure if the reflash will consider my borla exhaust...

Well your Borla Exhaust will need to be modified to work with the Turbonetics kit but any shop can do this for cheap. As for dyno tuning no the reflash handles it well I would however just get a good baseline before the kit and a dyno after to ensure everything was installed right.

The single turbo kit is not like the twins. The cats are removed and a crossover pipe merges the flow of the two stock headers and feeds the turbo. From there a single down pipe comes off the turbo and bolts up in the factory mid pipe location. All you will need to do is have the shop make a reverse y pipe to bolt to the downpipe flange and feed the two pipes out of it... PM keeptrying he had this done.

It's not the Borla, but here's a picture or two (or three) of what the GReddy EVO2 looks like after this modification. This will give you an idea of what's needed.

Yeah, that looks great. That's what I'll be doing with my Greddy Evo 2. Did the shop just cut right down the middle of the "X" and weild a flange? Where/what did you use to attach the lower part of the "X" to the turbo? Did they just fab a pipe?

BTW- You can remove that passanger side heat sheild now.

The EVO2 really has a double-Y pipe (two Y's joined at the tails so to speak, so there is a section that is just a single pipe with a split at each end). They simply cut the single pipe and the front Y off and welded a flange onto the remaining, rear-facing Y. This is the only Fabrication. The big single pipe you see running forward is the downpipe provided with the kit, so there was no fabrication forward of the yellow arrow. Make sense? Props to AAM for a great job on this design.

i think io get it....the down pipe provided by the kit ends up coming to about the middle of the car with a flange on the end... so i need to build a custom reverse y-pipe to attach to the resonators...?? how much would this cost and will i have enough gaskets???

You could take it to MRC Motorsports. They are in NJ, and they were the original installers of the APS TT here in the states...They're competent folks there. Or if you don't mind a little drive, AAM is in Gaithersburg, MD. They've installed several of these now.
