350z turbonetics kit
hey guys, just got my turbonetics kit in and wondereing if its easy to install...im not too familiar with engine work but turbonetics said i could do it with hand tools and a jack... i dont wanna mess anything up and certainly would like to save the $1000 install charge... please let me know thanks
As long as you follow the instructions to the T you should be alright. Honesly though you really should have someone who is more familiar then you with motors assist during the install.

awesome... that really made me feel better cause i read on this forum that everyone is blowing up there engines with FI with the greddy especially...i hope i made the right choice in the turebo selection... i wouldnt where to start if something internally broke on my Z... do u recommend doin anything extra.. i have the borla TD exhaust and thats it... when i do a reflash...is there anything else i should do? dyno tune it? i was told NOT to DYNO tune it because the reflash does this...but im not sure if the reflash will consider my borla exhaust...

Yeah, that looks great. That's what I'll be doing with my Greddy Evo 2. Did the shop just cut right down the middle of the "X" and weild a flange? Where/what did you use to attach the lower part of the "X" to the turbo? Did they just fab a pipe?
BTW- You can remove that passanger side heat sheild now.

The big single pipe you see running forward is the downpipe provided with the kit, so there was no fabrication forward of the yellow arrow. Make sense? Props to AAM for a great job on this design.
It turned out really well.
i think io get it....the down pipe provided by the kit ends up coming to about the middle of the car with a flange on the end... so i need to build a custom reverse y-pipe to attach to the resonators...?? how much would this cost and will i have enough gaskets???
You could take it to MRC Motorsports. They are in NJ, and they were the original installers of the APS TT here in the states...They're competent folks there. Or if you don't mind a little drive, AAM is in Gaithersburg, MD. They've installed several of these now.
im not driving that far lol but i tried callin racemrc and they never pick up the damn phone!!!!! pisses me off....excellent customer service ugh...ever here of I.M.P racing??? there in clifton NJ
