Running on my new enkei RP03 19 x 10 and Toyo T1-S 275's.

I'm still waiting for my RA-1 @ 295/30!

I Should get low 12's.... If I can get the method down fast enogh, that is the good thing about there only being 70 cars allowed, so long as there are no break downs I should get plentyof runs in

I will defintely be posting time slips if they're worth mentioning... if I just so happen to embarass myself, I don't plan on furthering it

Not to lesson your excitement but I tried running on the same setup once and never again. Couldn't break even into the 12's but on ET streets I run 11.6's... I spun through 3rd gear... Really should try DR's or slicks... And I would just roll off the line, and not try launching it... BUt either way, good luck and let us know how it goes...

Sorry to hear about the car, I'm sur there is a story about that already posted here, right?

I think the Brainstorm might be able to use one or two, Ihad suggested it for the SHOP cars, I'll check in with them and get back to you.

No worry on the excitement bit, it's going to be what it's going to be.

I've heard varying degrees of what you are describing so I don't have a hard time believing it, in running my 8ths I got the launching down and keeping wheel spin to a minimum. I was doing as well as a STI and considering they have AWD I was pleased with that at 8.33.

Depending on what I experience here I may be done with dragging for a while, or if I just so happen to love it, then of course slicks are the next thing, although the RA-1s might just do the trick as well, and still let me drive in/out on them!

Thanks for the input, it is welcomed

I'll be there as well first time with the Twins. I'm hoping for low to mid 12's I don't expect to break 11's at Cali Speedway until some more practise
IGOTTAZ with his Greddy Twins will be there as well.

I got my helmet cam hooked up and ready to go so if that all plays well we'll have a few in car videos

This is gonna be a good meet for us then, We're going to have a nice combo & variation of setups for our 350z's so it should prove interesting.

I would like to see 12's, although as mentioned earlier in this thread, and elsewhere, it's not gonna be easy...

I'll have my car cam, I have a windshield mount and rear seat mount, we'll get something worth checking out.

See ya

speaking of breaking in the twins, have you had much chance to do that yet? Did you have/Did you get an oil catch can?

Turns out mine was needed after the last day at the track, I was fairly certain I had mostly vapor in mine for months, then after Big Willow, I noticed (at the last brainstorm meet) there was "actual oil" in there and we pulled out about a 1/4 quart....

No doubt that's something that should be required and not "optional" in the event you plan to push your car.

Default 12.942, 12.965, 12.985 and 110MPH

Those were my best results, at least I broke the 13 second barrier.

#14 Was a 350z Greddy Twin Turbo with some nice mods

#79 Was a Mustang SVT Cobra

#36 Was a Short, Light, Oldie with a Monsterous Motor[/QUOTE]

APS Intercooled Twin Turbo, Enkei 19 x 10's, Toyo T1-S 275's this is
my street setup so I am pretty happy considering...

Now the question is do I have the quarter mile bug or not, I'm considering changing over to Drag Radials and see what a difference that makes, I'm not certain yet I want to go the whole route of axles, wheels, and slicks.

I'm assuming that combination is good for another 3/4 second as it is with TomCats but until I take the next HP upgrade I don't think that's enough for me to warrant it...

I'm certain with drag radials, and possibly a burnout to boot should be good for another 1/2 second with improved launch/60' times. IGottaZ and his Greddy TT and his drag radials was got down to 12.8, aside from his other clever mods as well.

So is another 2k worth 3/4 of second? In my opinion no, and of course that is not streetable, so what's the point after you get the timeslip..... Unless money was involved...

Just wanted to make sure you caught that I broke into the 12's with a street setup, 8lbs, conservative tune (due to usage), and this being my first time out, I realize more and more that the launch and 60' is what the damn thing is all about.

TomCat and his ET Street and additional 50HP to the wheels got him 12.2 so that's getting into your neighborhood.

It'd be cool to change to drag slicks and all to get that sub 12 time but it just doesn't seem worth it when I want to daily drive and autocross my car.

I'm waiting for the next HP upgrade or 100 octane mapping with drag radials to see what that yields perhaps then low 12's is reasonable without slicks and streetability maintained.

Thanks, not too shabby eh?

I also ran against a Viper where I ran 13.0xx and he ran 12.5xx, I thought it was a decent run considering the cost difference, even with my mods I'm still under what it costs to purchase & maintain something like that, plus as a daily driver, the Viper is a pain in the ***, where ours are pure joy.....

Nice time with your street setup. 12s' on 19" wheels are pretty good.

How much HP did you dynoed? How much RPM did you lunch at?

Dynoing at 377 on the DTS dyno (this is drivetrain calculated to the wheels) and 415RWHP on a dynapack.

When I was at Irwindale, running 1/8's I was launching between 4000/4300, what was odd is that I was actually launching between 2000/2500 when I got my best times, I'm still thinking about why this was the case, but i'm certain it has something to do with the tires ability to grab....

What's great about my Enkei 19"s is that they are in the neighborhood of 21lbs vs 26+, plus I have Stop-Tech AeroRotors which reduce my unsprung weight, and the Toyo's are lighter to boot, so there is a nice complimenting combination going on there for rolling 19"s, which is why I went ahead with them.
