Damn, it took me like 20 min to read this thread lol - forgot most of what I was going to say lol

I have a TN ST (yet to be installed) and the reason I bought it was simply because I wanted a cheap (relatively), simple and a reliable turbo system. If I was planning on taking out a mortgage and making a 600hp+ TT beast, that frequently visits a tuner or blows something up - I would've probably got an expensive *** TT set up.

I think what MIAPLAYA is just making a point that unless you're planning on investing additional time and money into tunning, an APS kit isn't worth the extra $4000 since that #'s aren't much off.

Just because MIAPLAYA has pride in his ST kit (resulting in a bias), and has been pushing it - doesn't mean he should be smacked and banned. If you guys asked about body kits, I'd swear that my Veilside V3 is one of the best out there and has the best fit in the world... why? because I LOVE IT and I'm Proud of it. Peopel can tell me that it's not "clean" or "jdm" like a lip kit, but what's the point of customizing your car to fit in with rest of the people?

just my $0.02.

Agreed... I think everyone wants to be happy about there purchase. When it becomes a problem is when people try to make others feel like they made a bad choice. I don't think that either kit is a bad choice, it really boils down to how a kit fits your individual needs.

Don't bash the kit just because your tired of Mia supporting it. The rest of us are interested in the results and can filter the information enough to know what it says and what its worth.
Ignorant?? Does the Turbonetics kit NOT have long feed pipes and use stock manifolds? Does it NOT have a 60-1 turbocharger which made it's debut almost 15 years ago? Did I miss the part where it's good to have your turbocharger near wiring harnesses and rubber coolant lines and your radiator? Does Turbonetics NOT sell rebuilt turbochargers as new? (I have several references if you like)

My post may have been slightly opinionated, but it contained 90% TRUTH. So if the TRUTH is ignorant, so be it. Did you miss the post where I explained to MIA that I was just giving him a little of his own medicine?

This whole deal should be done...but I'm not going to let someone sit here and call me ignorant without a response.

FYI the APS ST also places the turbo near a bunch of wiring and the clutch line which happens to be hydraulic...

I have installed two kits and working on a 3rd bro... the APS Turbo is not close to any hose other than the clutch line which is replaced with SS line. The line is safely routed around the turbo...

Oh power rack return hose is a little close but it is a least 3-4 inches from the air side of the turbo also.

Damn the more I try and walk away the more they pull me back in!!!! Nooooo!

Please reference me the post where I stated that the APS ST kit was so fantastic? You started that whole deal. There's a reason I have the TT kit and not the single turbo kit from APS. I don't think the APS ST is all that great either. Why do you have to change the comparison from the APS TT to the APS ST? Isn't this thread after all about the APS TT and the Turbonetics?

BTW...I was watching an APS ST install the other day...and the only "wire" that it is remotely near is an O2 sensor wire. Get your facts straight, and like Llare said the clutch line is replaced by an SS line.
