hmmm, APS TT? Congrats!

I am looking into my crystal ball and I see a built motor in the future for you......(not because you will blow the vq, but because will want more power)

Glad you made the switch to some torque...

Everytime I see a post from you or a week later you have something new done. Geeez... I guess im not the only mode *****...hahahah Good luck...

Bruce,

Did you change your screen name, so how did you enjoy the ride in my car? Yours sounds awesome, but i haven't been able to ride in it yet. I need to get my car dyno'd, i don't think im at 440 anymore it pulls like crazy...

Bruce-
As one Bruce to another, I have to say "your car rocks"! My kit pulls hard, but all the well-tuned TTs at Z-Car Garage would kick my *ss. I reeeeeally want the kind of snap yours has. So far, it's like I built the forged motor for nothing more than longevity.
Yes, I changed screen-names. My old one is the one I use on one of the BMW motorcycle sites.

I'm kind of hoping Rob will blow it up so he can build me a stroker motor(just kidding)
I can't tell you how cool it was to be able to see some of the cars up close that I've seen pictures of on the forums. We just don't have that many seriously modded Zs and Gs in Portland. It was also great to be able to ride in a car with cams and then jump into one without to do an immediate comparison. Same with the Tein suspension.

Too bad my shop didn't suggest cams when they were building my engine. I didn't really even think about it. On the other hand, this whole project has taken so long, it's given me time to spread out the cost:-) (Bruce trying to be a glass is half full kind of guy)

Your also gonna need a better flowing exhaust, a dual 3 incher will do nicely.
I'm trying to determine how I can do it and still keep the noise levels to within reason.

There's always the new APS exhaust that's been promised.... Of course, my LaBree test-pipes wouldn't be as big as the exhaust then. I really hate to have to re-do mods I've already made. APS is probably making 3" test pipes too, right? I may have to get a second job, pimp the wife, sell drugs. D#mn!

Yeh I know what you mean not having to redo things, I'm in similar boat.
I'll be selling my Borla exhaust and Crawford Cats soon.
But unfortuntely when you lower the CR , you need to make it up with boost. More boost demands more exhaust flow. It is much less of an issue with the TT install on stock CR. But when all is done you should expect >520rwhp on 91 and most of that "snap" back. The APS TP is mostly 3.5" and reduces down to 3" just before the rear flange. The APS 3" TD from what I have been told is "much" louder than the APS 2.5" TD. I'm trying to come up with a best compromise solution. Flow=high + sound = lo. I don't want a screeming exhaust note to attract da man.

Yeah, there has to be a way to compromise. see i'm not buying any more mods that can't be done right the first time. Now a new exhaust, then what a different plenum, larget TB, Bigger injectors, more Fuel, more this more that. Dammmm........

Sharif,

Rob says the same about you. "he's all, great guy"

You guys had fun in February when the Aps installs started going in. "gives the wink" how smooth the install was! hahahah
