Default My aps st offline

Well, i was about to get my g35 with the aps st kit back late sat night. they had just finished the fuel system and hooked up the car to the dynapack. the car sounded really quiet at idle. the kit is beautiful, the install was clean and without too much incident. now when they start to power up the car, guess what...... oil!!! billows coming out of the exhaust. i'm not sure how much oil they put in but i know i heard them say the instructions say 5 quarts. they have done a greddy twin and turbonetics st without incident. they are thinking the scavenge pump might be bad but as you know, most shops are closed on sunday. it's my 31st b-day sunday, so it's just a little dissapointing to invest your hard eaned money onto a project just to have it temorarily derailed by minor setbacks, but thats why you play the game. any guys on this forum that has had problems with the scavenge pump or oil smoke out the exhaust please chime in. if you feel like aps hating, step off please, i post this on the forums for information not sarcasm

G35 oil pump wiring is different than Z, ask tig488 for correct wiring.

I have read about quite a few people having the 'smoking' issue. I know most people know to make sure there is Nothing kinking or clogging the oil return line, ... b/c anything that clogs/impedes the return line at all can cause oil to back up into the bearing housing, and oil will seep past the seals. Another thing that can cause the oil seeping out of the seals is a restricted crankcase vent, b/c the pressure difference between inside the compressor/turbine housing and bearing housing isn't adequate.

thanks for all the replies, i will print out this thread and take it to the installer. hopefully the pump wiring was backwards since the pump powered up fine off the car. but if that isnt it i appreciate all the other avenues to explore. once i get the car back and dynoed, i will post the info on the board, good or bad.
