Easiest way to get around CARB is to move out of California

Vortech S/C is one carb legal for "sticky" CA. I bought the APS TT and Koyo Raidiator and now is sitting in my garage in the box. Going Vortech instead, only because I'm in CA.

Jim Wolf Technology is allegedly trying to get CARB approval for their twin turbos, although they've said "any week now!" since 2006. Sounds like someone needs to go bribe some politicians in CA.

screw the CARB *****; i'm going to TT my car, and register it in Las Vegas, anyway.

Sickens me how much **** you see spewing out of all the semis and smoke stacks around cali, but if you go FI, you get royally shafted by any and everyone.

^Is it illegal to not be a resident of CA and be driving a car that's not CARB approved? ie,if one of my TT guys from Vegas goes for a roadtrip to CA, will they need to meet CARB?

as far as i'm aware of, if you have out of state plates on your car, they won't really hassle you unless you're doing something really dumb. Hence, my plan to register out of state.

So you add insurance and registration and tax fraud to the mix of Felony emission fraud?

That would be heaven sent if one of turbo kits get CARB cert...such BS though..political red tape, you pay alot to live in Cali and you can't even take a dump without the state telling you where to go!

+1 That's a fact. If I sold my house, I'ld be out of here. Of course I'ld have to advertise it first. But with the ways housing is going right now???
By the way, I think the will be the next carb requirement also, will probably have to past the stink test. Remember who is running CA. Not the Governor, but all the other c--pp- ones there!

I will not leave Cali, but I might have to SC for more power....Housing will go back up (I'm being Optimistic) by 2009. Concerning CARB though...enthusiast are in the minority and I do not see the harm in letting taxpaying, and contributing members of Society modd there cars...its not like we are low lifes...hell I bet some CARB members have 50's rods that spit more toxins in the air that 10 Turbo'ed Z's (just speculation). Frustration, guess I got to wait till my Z is 50+ years old to turbo it in this state legally.
Sorry for the RAnt.
