I use the Greddy Profec B-spec II. Like it just fine.

I am using the Blitz SBC-iD boost controler. I like it a lot so far. Just make sure you hook it up wastegate style or else your boost will fluctuate.

If you want a simple install and look the e01 is perfect as you can display up to three things at once and also allows you to set alarms using the different signals in conjuntion, I have mine set to warn me if the boost is above 2 psi and the AF goes over 12.

I have the greddy profec b II and greddy turbo timer. I am probably going to switch the profec for an HKS EVC. At my boost level the profec does not hold the boost steady. Here's my boost chart.

The e01 is better at holding boost than the bII as it has settings you can play with the increase boost at selected rpm's.

I asked the same question and was told the Greddy Profec models were simple but slower and didn't hold boost as well. Rob @Z-Car Garage prefers them and says they work just fine for him. Sharif and Miaplaya both recommend the new HKS or the Blitz. Sharif is installing the Blitz within the next week and I just bought the same thing on Ebay. (there's another one listed along with their Power Meter). I wanted the "dual solenoid" control and the Greddys I looked at didn't have it. The Greddy "loaner" they're using on my car is working just fine.

Certain reviewers consider the "scramble boost function" of the Blitz pretty useless, so don't count on that feature. And the HKS is a PITA to program.

I dont know too many people that use the scramble boost function regardless of car. Most people tune to a boost pressure and leave it there. Granted this is a nice way to switch between a low and high boost tune but its not something I would be using on the VQ anyways.

Here is a VERY good article on some of the available boost controllers out there:

Where do you guys get the source for the boost and dump the excess? Source from turbo and exit into the wastegate?

My personal favorite is the Blitz. Might have to try the Greddy eo1 this time.

If you want to save some cash get a MBC (Hallman, Forge,...). I've got a HKS type 0 turbo timer. Cheap and effective.

I've used all of them, and the Blitz SBC-iD is by far my favorite. The Greddy boost controllers are good at less than 12psi, but they spike a little, especially between shifts in 1st and 2nd. I have yet to see a Greddy boost controller than can consistently hold 15psi or more. They will hold it for a few runs on the dyno, and then start vascilating. The HKS is a great unit, but more complex to operate, and the PSI version is no longer imported in to the USA on a regular basis. So that brings us back to the Blitz SBC-iD. Dual Solenoid, and very fast response rates. It doesnt spike at all, and it super easy to program. And if you opt for the iColor version, its the bling of the bling.

I am running a GB on them right now....check on my sig.
