Same as doing a cam swap....probably 12-14 hrs with the motor in the car.

Do you have access to retorque the bolts while swaping a gasket?

If I remember correctly the head bolts are underneath the camshafts.....so the cams would have to come out to check the head bolt torques anyhow. You are looking at maybe only an extra hour labour to do the gasket as opposed to just checking the headbolts.

With that kind of boost wouldn't it be silly not to O-ring the head and block?

I have not seen any vq builders yet who do it....not even AEBS.

I don't know much about the VQ. Someone has to be the first to do it. I guess as demand grows someone will do it eventually.

O-ringing the stock open deck wouldnt provide any benifit, IMHO. Sleeving is a better option.

Keep us posted Jorge. I hope it turns out to be a turbo seal. It is a cheaper way out. Don't sell the car!

ok the chit is fuked up down here. our infastructure is pretty damaged. I am at work so I am able to get on the net. anyway, as soon as the power comes back i will take the car to the shop to get a compression/leak down test and pressure test the radiator. if it is anything major the car is going to be shipped to SGP since they built the motor and I bought the warranty. I don't know exactly what the warranty cover, but if there is major damage I hope it falls under warranty.
