Maybe I'll drive down from Chicago on my way to CP so we can roll into some truck stops with our diesel engines.

I'm going to try keeping the 3.9 final drive for now and see how it works out with the vortech kit. The main issue with ST and TT cars is they have so much torque that they spin out the tires. The 3.9 FD with those kits would be pretty much stupid. The vortech kit however doesn't have tons of torque so I think the 3.9 final drive might be ok as long as you have good wide tires and LSD etc

What a bunch of whiney bioches.

"My really fast car makes a noise and blah, blah, blah."

Turn the damn stereo up and put your foot through the floor. Geesh.

have you thought about replacing the jackshaft assembly??

if memory serves (hti or miss there), a bad jackshaft does contribute to the deiseling sound....

my 04 had a hint of it, but only when the rpms' dipped down too far. also, you DONT want the blower cog belt tight. (too tight). this will also contribute to added BPN.

my bet is the jackshaft is bad... especially if other's are not deiseling as loudly as yours....
