I know this isn't the wheel/tire forum, and it's not even my thread, but does anyone know if 335/35/18's on an 11 or 12 in rim would fit a Z with cut or rolled fenders, assuming you got a pretty high offset? I think 335 DR's would solve most of our traction problems off the line assuming you had some bullet-proof axles.

heard of a 305 fitting back there, but a 335?? I don't think you could fit that without tubbing or a widebody fender

I've measured and I believe someone on here has done it on a stock body Z....It's possible...but it's REALLY a squeeze.

I also run the 295/35-18 BFG DRs without any rubbing issues at all on an 105 inch wheel...plenty of room for them.

I am running the same tire on a TE37 22offset 10.5 rear. If your car is very low, they will rub. I rolled my fendors and raised the rear about 1/4 inch and now they dont rub at all.

I would take it to a good body shop that has the proper tools. If not done correct, you could damage the paint on the fenders. You might also consider cutting the fenders if you want maximum clearance. Just be sure they apply some coating to the cuts to prevent rust. I had mine cut by the local perf. shop and they did a fine job.

Good luck!

Call around to some body shops...see if they have the hub mounted tool for fender rolling.

I actually did mine myself...and I hate body work. Will and I bought a small baseball bat. Cut off the short end, and spent about one hour gradually rolling the bat under the fender...wedging it between the tire and the fender. It actually worked really well. There is little chance of denting the fender, or chipping paint, if you use a wooden bat.

I think tirediscount will rent you a fender roller that mounts on lugs. I could have sworn I read that on this site somewhere.

http://www.rollyourfender.com

I used that fender rolling tool with a heat gun...worked fantastic. You rent it from them so it only costs you $50 and your time.
