Backfire???

When you say backfire, are you refering to bang/pop on gearchange (from the exhaust). Its quite common with turbo cars running atmospheric dump valves. My friends 200sx does it all the time. Dont think it does any damage as such, sounds cool though.

My car never backed fired. when the piston ringland went (I assume that's what is wrong with my car) it started backfiring. This was due to all the oil on the spark plugs causing half the motor to not fire.
If are backfiring an unsual amount than check your plugs and coils.

yeah no exhaust...im not complaining about anything just curious about why the car does it.....I had just up to the Turbonetics downpipe 3 installed... right now Im getting the Injen exhaust modified....then I can check for exhaust leaks....and such......
