I did this on mine, and secured it with safety wire.

Dam that car is so much faster than when we raced that car at Jasons that night in the summer. Congrats but get some stickier tires, it's crazy boiling them in 3rd!!!

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine on a different kind of car. Ever since we installed his turbo there was a coupler that was disconnected, so instead of being clamped on the IC pipe it was just sortof pressed against the end of it. He found it a couple months later and it transformed his car, spooled like 1000rpms earlier, held boost better, etc.

Doens't snow much here in ABQ. Hey Todd, can't wait to go for a ride in your beast. You have to call out that yellow SRT-4.

i have 2 layers of high temp header wrap that are also folded inside themselves to provide 4 layers of thermal protection. What I used is that white smooth finished woven sleeve stuff... I dont have a pic of it on my car, but this is the same stuff I used on a customers mr2. Its a sleeve like a sock or something, but in this picture I just folded it and wrapped the turbo.

I installed it after the pipes were all clamped, I slide it over the clamps, coupler and its even covering part of the compressor discharge on the turbo.
