Here is the real thread they should read if you want to bring up the past Scott,

Actually here is my response:

FYI - BriGuyMax - The only motors we ever blew were motors built by SFR and/or had the SFR kit on them do to a problem with piston squirters being wedge between the rod and the external SFR oil pump. Your numbers are skewed, 2 motors (one built by SFR) and one stock while using the SFR kit. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. And if you would ever like to visit my garage at our facility, let me know and I will fly you out JUST TO FINALLY GET YOU TO STOP TALKING SH... and GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT....

Mike,

Lets gets the facts straight........Your only motor we built for you, never blew (and you are using the term blew loosely) after we had diagnosed the piston squirter problem! We found out.We told you about it,we offered to fix it and then we even DYNOED IT AFTER THE FACT, because your mechanic from Nissan said it would be ok and you agreed. We offered to take car of the problem after the dyno and the International Auto Salon show and you wanted it done immediately which we were not able to do. So you continued to drive your car and another squirter broke so that is our fault? It was your decision based on a reccomendation from your mechanic and these are the straight facts.

As far as the SFR turbo kit that was on that car, well it was set-up for a low compression motor running a pretty good amount of boost and race fuel. You cant just slap it on a high compression motor with 11.60 psi wastegate springs, alot of timing advance and expect everything to be a ok on 91 octane pump fuel. I mean this is obserd for someone to do and then to blame it on the kit is ridiculous. A word of advice is: that it is all in the tuning my friend.

Like I said, bring what you have to the dyno day on December 10th and let the cars speak for themselves. We will be there with our fleet of SFR twin-turboed cars so it should be fun.

I am rather baffled, why such difference? Is it that SFR's turbos are smaller then Greddy? Did Sharif upgrade anything from the original Greddy kit he started with? Is Sharif running some parts that are not present in the SFR's Z? Is it that the SFR's page hasn't been updated for a while and these results are old?
I am now wondering, what is the advantage of spending extra $3500 on SFR kit if same performance can be made through Greddy and the ultimate power goal is 500-550whp, not 700-800?

TurboTim, Sharif, help...

P.S. Is there a way to keep the metal bumper with the greddy kit? Like get theone w/out the intercooler and add another intercooler?

These results were from a year ago with smaller T3 turbos. This car also had a Stillen exhaust. The tune was very conservative and does not represent what can be done with the larger turbos that we use now or even the T3's we were using then. There are a couple guys withthe turbo kit who have motors being built so we will see what this system is capable of very soon.I am trying to make 500WHP with just the turbo system and a 3" exhuast.Hopefully Saturday will be the day when we have the dyno get together

Another reason to come to the Dyno Day on Saturday is that we will be unveiling our twin plenum intake manifold.I know everyone is waiting to see this thing. We might test it on my car for all to see.

Thank you for clarification. But you guys may want to look into updating the webside sometimes in the future. BTW, looking forward to seeing that new plenum of yours? The anticipation is killing me.

+1...I think that is an excellent idea. Let's just have a thread for each of the (this kit) vs. (that kit) arguments or flame wars. Then hopefully it reduces it in other informative threads and discussions and it stays on topic.
