let wait for dyno then we talk again. I just don't see how you can get more hp with this design. Isn't the less corner will get more air flow?

This is going to look SICK with a brilliant polish. But what do you guys think jet hot coating inside & out would do for temps, thus performance?

for N/A applications, we might put it on the G (since its the only Stock VQ powered car at the shop) and see what it does for N/A applications once tim finishes this prototype. But in person, this plenum is bad ***. Every single person who has come into the shop and has seen it being built drools over it.

Because unlike Kinetix, if the thing does not flow bench and make power on the dyno, Tim will not sell it and will go back to the drawing board until it makes power..Tim will also back up all his HP claims with legitimate Dyno proof unlike Kinetix who posts a pre and porst tuned Vortech car gaining 80+hp and makes their customers think it was the plenum that made that power..LAME..
The one single thing that a majority of 350Z owners are guilty of and myself included at times, is the "How does it look" syndrome. The major key you need to remember is FORM is supposed to FOLLOW FUNCTION..Meaning if that thing looked like complete azz but made 10-20whp,not a single Z owner would buy it, but if it looked like JDM YO! BLING BLING HOLLA BACK chrome plated with stickers all over it, and lost 20whp, most people would be lined up with their credit card in hand,so as long as they did not loose their stock strut bar..
I think Tim really knows his stuff, that why we elected to carry his products in our shop and are really happy with the quality and the results. This is why I am 100% confident that if Tim does release this plenum it will outflow every plenum on the market..

I know these pics have been on this forum before, but I just wanted to make sure this design was considered as well. I think it's just a "one-off", but maybe it might give you (TurboTim) some more ideas.

Hoodpins are required for the design.

Ah yes...very true. Yeah, the pipe "over" the cowling isn't ideal. I was mainly talking about the plenum itself. It seems to have a pretty balanced design.

Frankly, I like this design better. Less bends and piping. However, we shall see what sort of gains are achieved...that will be the determining factor.

There were never any published Dynos on that plenum or that car for that matter. That car was supposed to have some sick engine work done, but never a WHP dyno to back it up..I think that is more for show than go..

The intake is at the polishers getting blinged out We did some quick testing on the flowbench. It flows well but will need twin TB's to flow past 800 hp. The stock intake flowed well but wasnt as balanced as ours.So we will be installing it on my car sometime this week and going to the dyno to see what happens.

I contacted the maker of the plenum and got the following e-mail....HUGE costs.

yes I can make another g35 intake manifold as the one on the Havoline Racing Revolution Infiniti G35. Requires alot of labor serious only 50 percent down payment or you can simply take the one from the Havoline car $cost 5,000.00

That's awesome dude. I love how that thing just looks. Hey as long as it didn't loose hp I'd slap that puppy on there. And I know your going to post pics with it on your car!!

Hey, Tim, when you go dyno just make sure there is no bolt lodged in your tire
