That 300ZX intake is bad ***.Here is a pic of the new twin plenum we are working on for the VQ35.We should have a finished product this week to do some testing on.I will post some pictures with the Single TB.Basically it will have a pipe that comes off the inlet of the plenums which make their way around the timing chain cover and into a single flange for the TB which will be right in the center of the timing cover(very similiar to the Halvoline G35 except that this will fit with a stock hood). It is a very symetrical set-up and we have built plenums like this in the past that flow excellent so this should provide big horsepower and torque gains. If you want to run twin TB's, you should be able to keep the drive by wire.We have to do a little more reasearch on this before we will know for sure.

Actually, it is not going to be as expensive as you think The gains depend on the application. With this style plenum on a turbocharged 4 banger we have seen as much as 40WHP gain at 20 psi of boost. On an inline 6 at 30 psi we have seen over 100WHP. On a VQ35 N/A application with cams, long tube headers,etc.....20 WHP should be possible. We will have to do some testing so these numbers really mean nothing at this time.

We will be testing it on alot of different set-ups.Release date will be sometime in February. The orignal intake set us back a month.Oh well, live and learn.

February? Thats not to bad, but again what will you do with the N/A setups? Will you have an intake and filter to go along with the manifold as an option? Since you are going to relocate the throttle body to the front of the engine bay, most aftermarket intakes would not work. I Know its just a pipe and a filter but in terms of fit & finish it might be a good idea. idk just a thought.
Sorry for all the questions but what about the stock sturt bar? Will it be retained? BTW thanks for all the info and contributions you do to this forum

Here is my questions regarding this manifold and my specific turbo setup. I have a single turbo mounted up near the timing chain cover (check www.putfile.com/quamen ). I am looking to run this manifold possibly in the future, but I would need to use the twin throttle body setup becuase of my turbo location which I do not see as being a problem (using the intercooler in the picture I attached that had a inlet on the top of the intercooler and two outlets on the bottom.). The only problem I see is could this cause un even mainfold pressures between the two banks. I will be able to get the inlet to be directly in the center of the intercooler and for the pipes from the intercooler to the TB to be the exact same lengths so I dont see a problem there. Is there anything I am overlooking that could cause problems with manifold pressure?

The plenum is mounted with the stock stut bar in the newest picture. For production, I dont think we are going to build these to fit with the stock strut bar.It is a very tight fit so we will probably make our own strut bar or you can use a Stillen bar or something to that nature. We will be offering a few different intake pipe set-ups for N/A guys as well as turbo guys.
