What would you do with your 60-1? Can you trade it in for an upgrade?

Thats entirely possible...for now its something you have to work out with him. But for Stage II those that have Stage I will have some kind of trade in deal to upgrade if they want...

Hmm so did he go to GRD because he had to have his mysterious oil leak problem solved? I know APS tried to keep that one under wraps...BTW did that guy get his motor built yet...I heard it blew up after GRD tuned it.

Has it been disclosed what piggy back TN will go with? I'm really hoping its not the UniChip like they used on the Scion kit.

subscribing, Im guessing this stage 1.5 is the other alternative for the rev-up motors too, this would be a good bundle for me to consider... Im also keeping my fingers crossed to be bundled with utec...

This is certainly a good thing...I won't comment on the Revup kit yet as R&D has not started...

Default I know you cant say but Id hope its on this list?

Just basing on geographical location TN is in CA - Simi Valley
AEM - Hawthorne CA - expensive, long tuning, lots of options
TXS based in - MD - my favorite so far, im biased 1of2 i know how to tune
GReddy - Irvine CA - tried and true thusfar
Electromotive - VA - pretty excellent results but extensive install
Unichip - OR - good & bad reports no personal comment
Apexi Power FC or SAFC - Orange CA - have had this on MR2 easy to tune not alot of flex with tuning capability
Haltech - Australia - simple and affordable full EMS
SDS (simple Digital Systems) - Alberta Canada - simple design not alot of tuners
Mega Squirt - DIY - good for that electronically gifted super cheap and decent controller for INJ and timing
Autronic - Australia - A sweet EMS super elite and expensive especially with the telemetry "sp" setup.
Fields SFC - JPN
MINES - JPN
MAP ECU - ??

www.mrcontrols.com - maybe something in the works with ricky B out there in CA he's a mr2 guy but hes also a genius on EMS, thats who id want building me a vehicle specific EMS for a turbo kit... his hydra nemesis is reveered over even AEM on the MR2 even up there with the autronic.

Not yet bro... Turbonetics put Stage 1.5 on hold to resolve the overboost a few people have seen with really free flowing exhausts...

I have had my kit for about a motnh now. SO would it be possible to send injectors and turbo for upgrade? If so could that be run with the reflash or would that be a bad idea. dont think I woudl really be swtichign the turbo because I dotn have enough $$$ fow to get to the 600 range anytime soon, but I would be intrested in sending back injectors.

MIA do you think that reggie/turbonetics woudl consider this? If so who/how shoudl I contact?

Yea ive been reading about that, im sure TN will figure it out... I know my overboost problem on the MR2 was my WG, i went to a 42mm tial from the 38mm before, and the 35 TN before that. That might be the WG is not able to keep up with the higher pressure and lower velocity that the whole bernoulli's principle brings into play when changing out the piping in favor of 3". I know they are working hard on this problem and am sure this has come up.

the relationship to the diameter is as so...
stock exhaust to usual freeer floing is 75%
therefore the 25% increased workload would in theory require 25% more surface area in order to regulate boost. (Im not scientist I just like physics, NOT ENGLISH so forgive it.) give or take a mm it would require about a 42mm WG from the stock 35mm on the TN to handle the same pressures and velocities brought by a 3" or 2.75" or 90mm in alberto's case.

Just try out that newgen give her a whirl....

(Bernoulli's Principle states that as the speed of a moving fluid increases, the pressure within the fluid decreases.)The usual form is v2/2 + p/ρ + gz = constant, where v is the velocity at a point, p the pressure, ρ the density, g the acceleration of gravity, and z the height above an arbitrary reference level.

It's not the wg itself it's the inneficient mounting of the wg.

oh thats harder problem them, with our tightly crammed bays already finding space for a 35mm let along a newgen will be difficult if the design must be revised.

Actually they have determined that a Newgen will fit...the issue now is determinging exactly what the cause and fix is. They are trying the following:
Newgen in current location
Evolution in a different location
Newgen in a different location

For each of these they have to fab a dump tube to make sure the issue doesn't come back when you don't vent to atmosphere. That takes fabrication time. Hence Stage 1.5 is on the backburner for now.

thats good though id rather wait for the perfect design than rush a flawed one...
