at what HP do we even need to sleeve the motor?

Turbonetics is not doing a twin setup but they are doing a MUCH bigger single setup called Stage II. The goal is to replace as little piping as possible with Stage II. Worst case scenario the up pipe and down pipe would be replaced. The crossover pipe and all intake piping would stay the same. So basically worst case scenario you get a new feed and down pipe, bigger turbo, bigger injectors, and an EMS. These parts will of course but orderable individually or as an upgrade kit from Turbonetics. If you already have Stage I there will be an upgrade path where you can send back the current turbo, and possible wastegate and get credit for them so to speak..

You can get to mids 600s with the following:
Arias 8.5:1 pistons
Pauter rods (Eagles should hold that too)
ARP head and main studs
Cams
cam springs

The turbo in the Stage I kit has made the following with no cams just built bottom end:

460 RWHP 530 ft/lb of Tq at 14 PSI with a VERY rich AFR.

Stage II with the T66 turbo goal is going to be 550 RWHP and 540-550 ft/lb of Tq at 15 PSI.

My car is at SGP also. I have the emanage, but want to switch to the UTEC. I have the EU, rpm signal adapter, boost pressure senor, 2 boost pressure sensor harnesses (1 needed for the auto tune feature), ignition harness, injector harness, and the autosport wiring harness. I am looking for $750. Since I have the autosport already wired to the EU (by Crpace) you will save money on your install. Email me at jguzman@carnival.com if you are interested.

Sorry to dredge up an old subject but I never looked at the replies. Just looking at the whp vs. trq numbers it's easy to see that the turbo is a bit undersized for the application. With a built motor(including cams) a T66 is a must. Anytime the torque number is higher than the hp number their is an airflow problem created by either backpressure or turbo size. Flame away, lol.

Why flame? I'm not arguing that fact. Turbonetics wouldn't have started planning for Stage II if they didn't agree. The pre-requisite for Stage II is pistons and rods. Goal of 550/550 at 15 PSI on a T66. There will be a lower cost upgrade path for those that have Stage 1 or Stage 1.5
