As a TurboXS dealer, part of the contract we sign with TurboXS is that no product of theirs will be sold on ebay. Any Turbo XS item you buy from anyone other than an authorized TurboXS dealer has no warranty whatsoever from TurboXS. You can see a list of authorized dealers on their site here:

http://www.turboxs.com/dealers.htm

The auction can say it is covered by warranty, but believe me when I tell you it's not...unfortunately you won't find that out till you've sent your $$

100% true... so beware, Also keep in mind when you buy somthing you dont only buy the product... but also the customer support which backs the product! Somthing to think about when your trying to save a few bucks, but might hurt you in the long run.

While they are not a direct dealer, they do buy from an authorized dealer, and TXS is obviously aware of who Sharif/F.I. are, as well as who they buy from. As such, the warranty would apply. But, one of the primary caveats in the TXS contract is that under no circumstances can a dealer, or an agent of the dealer, sell TXS products on ebay or similar auction sites. If it were discovered by TXS, that dealer would, in all liklihood, lose their status. The same holds true for Group Buys on TXS products - they are strictly forbidden under the contract executed with TXS, and any items sold this way have no tech support/warranty support from them.

This is the type of purchase you really want to make from someone who knows what they are doing, and can offer you an honest assesment of your needs, as well as the tech support needed for a successful intall/tune.

My father at one point owned 25 clothing stores up and down the east coast of the US, and the most important thing he EVER taught me is that the sale does not end when the goods reach the customer. The memory of poor after sale support stays with you far longer than the "thrill" of a "good deal". I cannot tell you how many times this has proven itself to me over the years. Makes no difference if you are buying a dishwasher, a camera, a new floor for your house, or a UTEC.

Just saw this now...sorry for the delay. We elected to purchase our Turbo XS product from an authorized TXS warehouse distributor. Jermaine and TurboXS are well aware that we sell and tune their product, and their warranty will be honored 100% on TXS purchases made from FI.com. As long as dealers and resellers abide by TXS's rules of engagement, they will honor the warranty.

But when someones sells a product well below cost on EBAY, that warranty will not be honored. TXS serials every single unit, so they know the source of the product, if something is returned for warranty work.

I am going to ask Jermaine if FI.com can be included as an authorized dealer on their listings, as we buy large quanities of their product through their authorized wholesalers. Sorry for the confusion.

Wow...I just saw this..That dude can not be for real...Ebay has become very scetchy in the past few years. To the point I no longer even bother with it unless it is a cheap item for $10...Interesting to see what Turbo XS's position is.
I dont think he has any units, considering we are a wholesale/retail center and only got 6 units in so far..Waiting on 14 back ordered ones...There are very few dealers getting these units right now...

im all in favor for vendors making their living with selling products to us, thats fine, but why would a company who produces a product not honor a warranty on a product that was not sold by an authorized dealer. especially if they have serial numbers, they can track who it was sold to and also when. just curious how a company could explain not honoring their warranty.

There are rules they have in place to keep their product from being diluted like many other have and if the wholesaler or buyer from TXS does not honor those rules fault them no TXS.

Because Turboxs has a contract to show insure that they are the only ones who are elgible to sell this product it is basically a loyality! All wholesale dealers sign this contact so there is no interference between outside parties.

Yeah this is true. My buddy ows a wheel shop and when he see's wheels on ebay he gives the manufacture a call along with the item # and puts a stop to it. The manufacture doesnt like the item being whored out even though it can be sold at that price.

new caveat on their post - no TXS items are available to ship till 1/3. Conveniently that is when Turbo XS reopens. What does that tell me? Tells me that they have a grand total of ZERO to send you, and are relying on TXS to drop ship. You'll be lucky if you get your UTEC, nevermind the fact that it will have no warranty. Also interesting that this is the third ebay name he has used since '03

Not true at all. If he was for "real", he would know TXS is not drop shipping these. It also says TXS is closed this week right on their website. Like I said, it's all virtually meaningless anyway, because the unit will absolutely have no warranty support, and you might find it difficult to even get tech support - if that risk is worth saving a couple hundred bucks, then so be it

Response i have gotten from the guy. Still sounds legit to me. sent this reply right away. so far his demeanor reflects all the positive feedback he has received so far. i am still very positive about the transaction. before i even saw the replys since i last logged on, i read his email. he stated the same 03Jan06 date that was mentioned previously. he obviously knows what is going on with the product. sells alot of turboXS products.

"Your utec has not been shipped out yet due to our Turbo XS authorized dealer may not be shipping out until Jan. 3. If I can get it out earlier than that I'll let you know and send you the tracking #. If this poses a problem please let me know and I'll try my best to work things out for you.

A few words of warning; This Ebay seller is not legit. They do not have the units and have no hope of ever delivering them. In fact the dealer that is promising them the units is in danger of loosing his TurboXS distributorship simply because he/she is making false claims about their inventory and essentially selling the products on Ebay (even if though a proxy). Every zUTEC has a serial number, and we know where each unit has gone. We don't have enough of these to go around and at the current production pace the only reliable way to obtain them is by placing a pre-order with a reliable authorized turboxs dealer.

As of this point the number of units that have been delivered prevents this seller from having access to the number that he claims available for a “buy it now” purchase. Each zUTEC has been accounted for, so trust me when I say this is impossible.

At this rate our production capacity is not going to keep up with demand for a few months. We almost considered renaming the unit to the zUTEC 360 in jest.

For those that have already bid, I wish you luck in getting your money back, because it will be 5-6 months before a general TurboXS dealer can call up an get a unit delivered “same day.”
