Found this on eBay, think its legit? Anyone ever buy from this guy? It says he has 5 of them.

Would turboXS honor any warranties that apply if the UTEC was purchased through an authorized dealer? Jermaine can you chime in on this! i am about to jump all over this deal if warranties are honored.

Yes I wouldn't trust that guy.. I also saw it, EVEN DEALERS dont have the unit yet and if he is selling at that price pry stolen and is a another unit, no warranty and shop wont be happy when you bring them somthing off ebay common rule. Dont be cheap and do it the right way so yo dont have to pay later!

 

What do you think about his feed back (100%)? i also noticed alot of good comments and many other UTEC/turboXS products on his page. Would it be worth a shot, @$300 savings?

 

ITs all up to you, but I would still advise getting from authorized dealer where warranty is still there and the comfort of know you bought from a direct vendor!

 

go for it, just use paypal, if it doesnt workout like it should dispute it through paypal or your credit card company. easy as that. same money

 

Went with it! i am overseas so i won't be able to see it for a short while. Perhaps i will have you go over to the house and take a look at/inspect it backagain. i'll let my room mates know to keep an eye out for it and to give you a call. they woudn't know what they are looking at.

ya i ran across that listing too. he has perfect feedback and alot of prior sales and quite a few other utecs for other cars for sale. i'd do it too.

 

Some dealers do have it. Why would the warranty be void? It's still a product of theirs. I think i'll try it also.

 

hell, im thinking about it, 100% positive with 150 sells, looks good to me.

Talk about a great price. I thought TXS was uber strict on selling below their listed price.

why i did it:

**sells and has sold other UTECs and turboXS products

**from the Ebay site, i would assume this to be true as well
--ALL OF OUR TURBO XS PARTS ARE COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY!

i agree, ive done business on ebay for about 6-7 years now, bought and sold probably a few hundred items, from a few thousand dollar items all the way down to a few dollar items, havent had 1 bad experience yet, i know there are some scammers out there but if you "read the fine print" and know how to protect yourself, youll be fine. youre gonna be glad you bought it. i still might, i just dont know if ill gain much over the unichip i have now.

 

I am sure Utec would honor warranty if they can verify units are legit, the only thing is how much of hastle it would be, it is nice to have a real vendor to handle your issues in the case the unit is bad rather than a guy in his living room selling cheap parts you wont hear from again. Food for thought when buying expensive parts.

 

True what Gus says but again maybe he gets lucky and gets a great product and a good responsive ebayer

 

Also you gotta think... The price he is selling at is below wholesale.. also how does he have 6 units when AUTHORIZED DEALERS can't even get them in stock yet???? Somthing doesn't sound right about this????

 

Lets just wait and see what happens! that is all that can be done.
