Default new goodies, blitz and forge.

finally got my blitz sbc-id boost controller, APS oil feed solenoid, and custom billet actuator from Forge Motorsports. the actuator is beautiful, its adjustable, and came with 4 different springs, im using the 5-10 psi spring first and might move up to the 9-15 later. the boost controller is a pretty cool gadget, peak, warn, all the bells and whistles. im hoping this fixes the boost drop associated with the APS single kits. im about to go test everything out, ill be back with results later.

When I changed my actuators with the TT kit, I had to take my entire motor out. Funny, eh? I was wondering how you did it with out pulling the motor, then I realized that you had a single turbo.. damn you

It is a PITA to get to in the car...I really wish APS let everyone know about this BEFORE we instaled the kits..Were still waiting on a few sets of those from forged..

On the TT setup, you really don't need, can't handle, upgraded actuators unless you build the motor. In that case, the motor would be pulled anways

Some guys built their motors only to find out later that the actuators were weak

I'd be pissed!

they should have known they were only good to 12 psi. They should have realized with a built motor, they might want to run more boost than that.

Haha, tell that to Phunk! JK, but I'm talking like a year ago when it wasn't common knowledge that the actuators were a weak link.

Regardless, if I was going through 5-10 grand to build my motor, I would be looking at the potential of the actuators. Maybe contact APS or test them myself. As far as I knew, APS always said the actuators were good to 12 psi???

When you were the 2nd one in the country to install an APS TT kit on a built motor, this was not common knowledge at the time and was overlooked...The drivers side actuator can be replaced easily, the passenger side is a PITA, you need to remove the alternator, started, and a bunch of other crap to get to it..About a 6 hour job..

nice upgrades Tig. That SBC-ID is very consistent once setup well, I have had great success with it in cars that I put it in... Well except in McDerns Greddy TT 350z I tried to run it AC mode on just the external side ports which honestly has worked for me countless times, but his car wasnt liking it... so he switched it to the WG setup mode and ran both lines to both gates and once again it was solid as a rock. I guess when you use it with the Power Meter ID you can setup a speed map for the boost. I have never tried that personally, but I can imagine that its awesome.

Forge Motorsports... awesome guys. When I called to get a set of APS TT upgraded actuators a month or two ago, they were extremely helpful and efficient. Havent installed them on the customers car yet.

It's fairly common knowledge that Forge can make the actuators now. When I installed my built motor, they said that we needed to send them the APS actuators first before they could make new ones. They also mentioned that it could take a month or two before the new actuators would be ready. I didn't want to put my project on hold for 2 months... Tuan from GRD (I believe?) actually sent a set to Forge. Shortly after I got my car running with the kit and the built motor, I discovered that they could make the actuators in a week or so. It took me a day to pull the motor, change the actuators, and put it back in.
