Close your eyes for a minute, MIA... :-)

It's been a *very long* time since I read the old thread, but didn't Peter at APS predict this possible outcome with the TN kits last summer? I think this was mentioned way back then, but it became overshadowed in the ensuing TN vs. APS argument. This is good info to keep in mind. Of course, heat/hot parts can be an issue with every turbo install, what with plastic and rubber lines, wiring, electronic parts and so forth in danger of a melt-down if not well-protected. If the installers don't handle this basic requirement, stuff is going to melt. Good stuff! Thanks.

Agreed. Most of the time, we don't need to read about lawsuits like this, let alone make comments, egg people on, compound the issue, etc. Most of this stuff is private and should be kept private. Good point.

If the kit is properlly installed there is no issue with heat affecting the parts. As evidenced by 40+ members here who have NOT had an issue with that. I have 19k miles on my car since the turbo kit. And there have been zero issues with my car. If the lines are routed properly there never should be.

I remember that also, Peter from APS did predict this as a possible problem area for top mount turbos on the VQ engine.

We agree, MIA. There are heat issues with FI in general. These must be dealt with on the installation. I'm not saying there is an inherent problem with one kit or another. With TN, apparently this A/C line is a concern. With another kit, it's something else that needs to be protected. As long as the installer provides a good installation, melted wires, vacuum lines, or other components should not become an issue. Thanks.

Agreed 100%. Thats one reason why Turbonetics includes a new AC line to replace the stock one that is heat coated. It just needs to be installed properlly. Like you said if it is there are no issues.
