I have the Injen SES TD exhaust for my G but I think is a tad too loud for me (and my passengers). Problem is that I need a retune badly and was set to get one. I dont yet know which exhaust i want so if I retune my current setup now..would i need a retune when I switch to another TD exhaust like the invidia or borla (does borla's bends make it where i need a retune) TIA

well if the exhaust that you are planning to get has the same diameter piping then you dont need a tune.
Now if its different piping diameter for example 2.5 to 3 inch or 2.5 to 2.25 inch I suggest you get it tune.
Now if its a 2.5 to a 2.5 but with restrictive singnificant different bends then you will mostlikely need a tune

it wouldnt hurt to get a retune. if u are gonna reflash it anyway might as well take the opportunity to throw some more parts on there when u put the exh on.

Thanks guys. Yeah...I have a spacer I was gonna put on before the retune but just decided that the injen is just a tad too loud for me. So...I guess I will have to find a different exhaust here shortly and get a retune. I havent been able to boost since the install of the Injen. I'm itchy to have fun again.

Yes I did, it went from 275 to 285 or so wheel hp but with a crappy retune. It wasnt really a retune, my car was just so lean after i swapped out the exhaust, we just dumped a lot of fuel in to keep it from blowing up until i had time to get a retune. Ii now have 400 wheel hp but I went to a 3.12 pulley, my total mods are:
1. Vortech with 3.12 pulley
2. Dc sport headers
3. Test pipes
4. Borla td exhaust,
I'm now hitting 7.8 or so psi because of test pipes and headers and getting 400.1 wheel hp. (i had to get that .1 in there
