My Stillen Stage 4 Supercharger Mods Review :)
Is anyone selling the Stage 4 setup? I went to the Stillen site and there is nothing. Is this a self made Stage 4? I was considereing going to Stage 3 this summer since I have had the Stage 2 for a year and now I can just blow off the warranty because I do not see the engine blowing under this setup.
What was your total build up of just the Stage 4 parts?

Port the Stillen blower. Every roots type blower I have ever heard of responded well include the ones on Cobra's, Lightnings, T-brids, and Grand Prix's. The biggest benefit is usually on the top end.

Stillen's stage 4 is a upgrade kit that Stillen sells.
The kit includes the walbro 255 pump, RC 750cc injector, new fuel timing controller box, and new pulley for more boost.
PM me for more info
The kit is about an $800 upgrade.

I'm not sure who can port the blower properly, I too have heard of that. But I'm unsure of which shops exactly can perform this service. Also, more tuning would be needed, since you will be pushing essentially more air, the fuel injector controller box will need to be tuned differently, and you should consider upgrading the fuel components at that time. The original 7th injector is very tiny when compared to the upgraded RC injector.
I am sending my M 62 to Stiegemeir to get ported and blue printed. Current rwhp is 307 ( 5AT) 8.5lb of boost 94 octane. ( 19 inch wheels) Running stage 2 setup with 8 lb custom made pulley.
Have not changed stillen control box, 7th injecter or fuel pump. Car runs lean on 94 octane but on 100 octane it is much quicker.
Fuel pump runs out of preasure at 5900 rpm and HP curve is flat up to 6800. First change will be the fuel pump as we expect it should make at least 10 more hp bringing it up to 317 on 94 octane. My Z is 2003 and my ecu has run rich from the first day i had the car, this is the only reason that we can run the high boost with out hurting the moter.
The SC should gain 25 HP from the porting and i expect the intake temp to drop do to the ported blower. Target is 342 rwhp. Will dyno car after every modification and post results. After the SC is ported we will change the 7th injecter to add more fuel to the engine. If required we will then change the contol box to see if the new box makes more power or it is possible that the engine may run rich.
My car also has headers on it. We estimate that the loss due to them is 8 hp. Dynoed the car with Random cats and it lost 6 HP. Base car was 217 to 219 stock.
Stage 3 made 290 with headers. Stage 2 was 272 with headers. 266 with RT cats.
Car run 13.0 on street tires with 2.009, 60 ft times with 307 rwhp. The problem is that in 4th gear the ecu subtracts lots of timing from the moter and it hurts the top end HP. The timing was bumped by 2 degrees and it made a huge differnce in 2nd and 3rd gear up to 6500 rpm. Hope to have the Utec on the car by late summer and have the timing ajusted in 4 th and 5th gear to make more power.
Also have the Stillen VB and the car in MM shifts hard. It hangs from 3rd to 4th but much better than stock. Will post results in 5 to 6 weeks.

We sell the stage 4 online on our site here:
http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...oducts_id=6469
and yes, a light flywheel with this SC does in fact help. That and running a KJR pulley:
http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...p?keywords=kjr
This pulley works perfectly for this setup, i love it.
the car drives much better with stage 4, and much faster
Also, on a side note, when my car comes back from the body and stereo shops, i'll be upgrading my intercooling system to see if little things can really make a big difference. I'll be upgrading the size of the core, start running water wetter, and a cusotmer intercooler Nitrous sprayer... So the next few months should be good, and getting ready for the hot cali summer!

As soon as I get my parts sent from Tony I will be installing and dynoing, maybe end of next week if they can fit me in ....
Also installing an innovate LC1/XD1 a/f gauge and nexus boost and oil pressue gauges ...
Yeah, can't wait ....

Tony.
What do u feel about the risk of running a stage 4, as a daily driver. I am worried that i will be giving up one of the best thing the stillen sc has going for it, and thats its reliablity.
I was told that the stage 3 sometimes shows sign of detonation in hot canyon runs, and on hot days. How do u feel this is compared to the stage 3?
