I had the warranty, however the kit has been on there for almost 2 years and I'm at around stage 3 right now so either which way you look at it they don't have to do anything. However, this is obviously a faulty part and hence they are kindly sending me a new pulley assembly.

Just a few things in regards to the pulleys...
Running a stock sized pulley will not have any affect on boost levels. The only thing it will do is help the engine overall to spin a bit faster, which means better performance. The reason why the KJR pulley is used in most SC applications is because of the belt sizing issues you run into in regards to underdrive pulleys.

I Run the KJR pulley on my car with my stage 4, and it works very well, and i have no boost loss whatsoever. I monitor my car with a mechanical boost gauge.

Also, the driveability and reliability of the Stage 4 kit is great. The setup does run rich, which is safe. I have even averaged 25 miles a gallon during my drive to and from work before. Of course i'm not beating on it if i do that kind of driving

The car drive's very well, and the power is much more liniar than before.
I highly recomend it to anyone with the stillen kit.

Unfortunately we cannot get the upgrades without getting the serial number from the blower, to notify stillen. WE've tried getting around it, but it's their policy, not ours.
contact me if you have any questions

G35twinturbo - Only way to do it is to buy upgraded stages used from someone else...

Also... if you search I know there is a company who makes custom pulleys, so you could do a stage 3 that route.

cersoft - im really glad to hear that they are taking care of you, i know a lot of people have had problems in the past with stillen's customer service. Im going call them tomorrow because the bearing on the idler pulley on my serpentine belt is shot and the mother squeals like crazy under all driving circumstances.. its awful. Like a dying rabbit.

Hi Tony,

May I ask what other extra upgrades are needed/recommended beside just stage4 kit?

I don't have any other upgrades done with my car that HAD to be done specific for the stage 4.

I already had a JWT intake (going to upgrade to stillen airbox soon), exhaust, ground wires, KJR pulley and other minor bolt ons.

There's nothing other than installing all the components of the stage 4 kit that is required.

Check out post #10 from this thread....

No close up pics of the hood, since I was trying to take pics of the body kit, but you can still get an idea of what it looks like.

Look exactly like mine... except painted. I have the CF version. Stillen does have one that has a faux scoop instead of the cowl but IMHO it looks like TRASH. non-functional scoop = teh gey.

Wondering what makes stillen's airbox superior to the popcharger, if anything? I would also love to know if that KJR pulley actually makes some power above stock s/c kit.

Tony - which exhaust do you run?

you'd be mistaken.....that is in fact one of the hood options from Stillen (there is more than one). it was purchased at the same time as the Stillen SC.

Stillen is close to finalizing their kits for the REV up motors, it will be very nice to see what those motors will be able to do with this type of kit. Higher HP motor designed for more HP, with a blower designed to give lots of torque. Will be very interesting...

interesting. in that photo, the hood looks stock. stillen's first hood had a big bump in the middle, right? the next one looked better, more angular, but had the non-functional intake vent. do they have a functional vent now?
ps: i was referring to the white hood in post #10, not the silver one in post #40.

i think the main benefit of the kjr pulley on sc is a little wt reduction. i have it on my hks kit and have no problem making boost with it.

so i was obviously not paying attention when i made the earlier post. i meant to reference post #40 in the thread for the pic of the stillen hood. just realized that post #10 is, strangely enough not my car, but post #40 (the CS Z) is! Sorry for the confusion. my photography skills are sub par to say the least, but you should be able to make out the "bubble" in the center of the hood that you're referring to above.
