Dunno about G forces. probably leaves half the rear tires on the pavement and throws the *** end out of control. 700hp looks great on a dyno, but USE that HP, then i'll be impressed.
Skepticism aside, though, those are amazing numbers. Well done.

Edit: Damn, i hate my tendancy towards knee-jerk replies. Posted this, then realized there were five more pages to the thread. my statement about hooking up still stands, though.

Not to be picking drama. I would like to know the reasons they are giving you not to upgrade. I am still sort of curious to what happend with your last motor?

You can PM me, if you don't want to put it out in the open.

Thanks,

Gman posted it on another thread. The car oveboosted to 18psi a few times and it damaged the pistons. I am sure Gman can fill in the details, but thats the short version. The engine was only tuned to 12.5psi, with a little cushion for fudge.

I see one feature alone that would have been great.. "Overboost Fuel Cut". As a customer not Manfacturer, I don't mind being recommended parts with valid reasons. But for something as simple as overboost protection & knock control. Who is really being led astray? If the EU has the feature don't you think it should have been enabled?

I can say the overboost fuel cut feature saved my motor already when we were testing the BCS, we saw about a 21 psi spike as it cut the fuel, saving my motor for sure. I would say that feature alone is worth the $1000 IMHO..

EU doesnt have overboost cut...not sure the point you are trying to make. IMHO, the two BEST feautres of the UTEC are knock feedback and control, and overboost cut. I hope you are not implying that I led Gman astray, becuase he is a well informed consumer, and takes the opinions of many different tuners. On a high boost motor, I would definatley prefer the UTEC, no question, but its his choice to make.

its set at 20, the Cheap Autometer boost guage I got reads funny..The data logger showed it cut at 19.5psi, but the odd thing is I saw no knock at that boost level..Must be my conservative timing map I used..

The point I am trying to make is that he is being led without valid information. I personally hate being told incorrect information when a person doesn't know rather than tell me some BS. I respect anyone who can just say.. "I don't know".

I am not pointing figure but you seemed to jump on the scene almost in an attempt to protect.

Anyway, the SGP boys are BADASS much respect!

I was just jumping in for Gman...sorry if I overstepped. As I mentioned in my thread, I welcome his more detailed explanation. But of course, I am going to be concerned when an engine that I tuned was damaged. Could his engine have been saved by the UTEC....possibly. Was the UTEC available when he had his car tuned....no. Would I recommend the UTEC for him today...YES!

Sharif,

You are being very protective of something that in reality was not directed at you. Simply stated I just wanted to know his reason's of why he was not choosing the UTEC. For no other reason but to say ok fine, these are some things we need to change to make out product more appealing. It has nothing to do with his orignal choice for ems, but he now has another opportunity to go a different route. If Gman chooses not to speak, that is fine with me.

Nothing personal!

Jermaine

Hey all,

I am not choosing not to speak. I just got back from a weekend trip to Disney World and haven't had access to the internet since Thurdsay evening. I will post tomorrow.

***edit*** Sharif was not the one that advised me not to get the UTEC. Sharif has always been honest and up front with me on any issue or product I have bought from him. In fact I have never discussed the UTEC with him. The last thing I bought from him was a catch can back in July right before he tuned my car.

Dont know but, I am really ready to find out & have setup the MAP to 35 PSI....This car is way to loud for the street, the pump is loud, etc...but, he said he was going to drive it some anyway...I have dynos from OUR Dynapak & from the other Dynojet...so I will post both when I can get to a scanner, I tried to take a pic with the camera but, it just will not come out right...@ 10 PSI the car makes 575 & 560FT LB....Crazy...Just NUTS...It is running C16 right now but, has been setup to take pump gas up to 13 PSI or so about 640+....I will post more later but, 737 RWHP & 689 Ft. I think I found the FI shop I was looking for.... I could not determine where to get things done until reading this post. Thanks for serving Arkansas guys!
