Default SGP vavle body...if you have one , please read this..help !

Motor and tranny are back in and Motor seems to be running great . Tranny shifts hard and is going to be a great upgrade . One problem though . With the original valve body , the tranny wouldnt shift into 1st [ manually or in auto ] until the rpm's were low enough . Now I can shift into first in manual , and if Im going faster than [ say ] 5 mph the tranny makes a clunking studdering sound until it ingauges . Does any one else get this ?

This happens with my Stillen Valve body upgrade as well. Does it both in 1st and 2nd. Severity depends on how much or how little you have your foot on the gas at the time.

Yea, only on downshifts when going 5-10mph. Heard it was normal.

Yeah i hear ya. i've driven mine like a bat out of hell and havent really had that problem you describe. i have learned that driving a TT Z witn the SGP VB takes alot of learning. you really have to know when to shift in manuel mode. and MM is the only way to race but thats just my .02

when i drive it in Auto mode it shifts way to fast and doesnt go through the whole gear.

OH!!!!! down shifting.

well mine doesnt really clunk but it does sound like **** if im going to fast and try to manuely down shift. i have learned to let it down shift on it's own (its nice not to have to worry about it).

Im not going to be able to test it any time soon . The blower is getting sent back to Vortech tomorrow . I got on it just a little bit...1/4 throttle , got 4psi just like that . And the blower started to whine really loud after that . We checked oil supply and drain lines and they are fine . SO it might be another month before I get it back . They say 7 to 10 day turn around . It took 30 days last time

well you kind of have to get the VB. i've been told this time and time again. the stock VB just takes to long to shift. I alos raised my rev limit to allow it to shift at 7100 and that made a nice difference too.
