Default I need a shopping list(Vortech/Procharger)

Ok, would have searched, but I can't seem to get it to search......I type something in and it just stays there, so I'm making a new thread, sorry! lol. Anyway, F/I is a new concept for me, all my other cars had have full NA buildups. I owned an 03 Sentra SE-R with everything you could imagine. The Z makes decent power now, but I have a certain number in mind I'd like to achieve. I have narrowed my choices of FI to superchargers and then narrowed it down to 2 companies, Vortech and Procharger. Both systems are quote unquote out of the box good to go.......I'm weary about that tho. This thread is mainly to find out what I would need with each setup (since they are quite different) in order to run around 350-375 rwhp and be fairly safe. I know there is no SAFE SAFE setup, but what would be the best route to go on this. Thank You for your time
Brett

A Vortech kit would put you in that range with a good tune. You'd probably want to have full exhaust, test pipes, and a plenum or spacer before the tune though. Good times...

i have vortech, 3.12 pulley, headers, test pipes, and borla td exhaust. not even getting 8 psi, close but not hitting 8. getting 400 wheel hp on a dyno dynamics dyno from cpracing. they tuned the car a while back. before the 3.12 pulley i had some other mods and had 375 wheel hp. but the car was slow, tuned from z1motorsports. i raced a buddy of mine with a turbonetics before i got tuned from cpracing and he smoked me BAD, after i got my tune we are a very close race now. extremely close, he inches out in front of me. i have 400 wheel hp 342 wheep tq,
he has 361 wheel hp and 380 wheel tq,

the tq makes up the difference, i'd go with a turbonetics if i had it all to do over again, but no major complaints from my vortech i guess. goodluck with going FI and welcome to the crew.

i would recommend calling up sharif, z1, or some other reputable shop. they have sold dozens of these kits and will be able to give you the best information on this.

The procharger is not really "ready out of the box" .. It's a tuner kit to me.. The fuel management is archaic.. if you don't plan on spending more money to make it a safe, I would recommend a Vortech which has a little better fuel management out of the box.

350-375WHP is certainly possible with both kits

How many Vortec owners can say that?

I dont think Ive heard of anyone with a Vortech trying it..not here any way . The NOS is really going to cool the intake charge down and make huge gains over the SC alone . I would like to take a ride in your car to feel it when the NOS is sprayed !!!!!!!!!!
