For anyone that wants one that is CNC machined like in the pics above and with a fabricated lid, we would be talking about $1600 - 1650. The part ties up a CNC for days and the lid has to be hand fabricated out of very thick sheet metal.

Once the manifold is cast, it will be several hundreds of dollars less.

i hope you buy one!

last week i talked to a Motec tuner that tuned some 350zs using the DBW and he said he had no trouble getting it to idle. He knew your tuner, Simon, and appraised him highly. If you would be interested in flying this fellow I know out there to setup the idle let me know and I can put you in touch with him.
Thanks Charles, appreciate that! Just got to read the other thread about the twin throttle body... it doesn't seem to work that well... so I guess what you have got now is the best available one currently then... I will definitely want to get one to make more power mate!

OT:
The other motec tuner got the DBW working as well, but the idle needs to be set at 950 to 1000rpm... and if the throttle was tempered with, the engine would have some idle hunts, but settled itself again after 2 idle hunts... and making the car sounded quite loud atih 1000rpm idle... that wasn't too good for the daily and also at cruising, it would be hard to cruise at 1000rpm to 1500rpm range or so.. and also I didn't get to have the traction control... hahaha... but if I need his helps, I will definitely contact you... really nice to know that someone gets it working nicely!!!

cheers,

richie

its very possible that it could be much faster, but im trying to quote in the middle... could be less, could even be more.

most of the casting stuff is out of our hands... and the second you give someone else control you can expect rediculous delays.

I will do what ever I can to speed up the casting process, but as charles has said this is out of our hands. I can possibly make the mold, But we do not have a metal foundry at our disposal.

If some one would want one ASAP, I could build a couple out of billet, I don't think there will be many advantages to a billet peice other than you can have it before the casting is done and there is room for custom ordered designs.

Wow this looks amazing. Deffenty will be watching this thread. Also in one of your guys post you had posted a couple pics of the product in color. Will that be an option? The outlets??

Thank you two for all the hard work for putting out products for us to enjoy

This color is actually a dye (dykem) that I use to coat the metal to see were my next cutter path in the CNC cuts. It will stay were the cutter misses.

We could anodize this peice if people whanted. Not to shure if cast peices can be anodized though.

Im not sure if cast peices can be anodized b/c the chemicals get in the pores and pit the surface really bad.

dam charles, been awhile since i checked on this thread. that is an insane amount of machine work on that lower intake. looks incredible! ya can't wait to see how the n/a Z reacts to it. definately for the higher rpm's, so gunna be interesting to see the low and mid. but should have a good ram effect with only the slight angle going to the valve pocket and mostly straight. this is something that has bugged me about every other manifold being made, nobody got the angle correct going into the lower stock runners. you guys nailed it!!

Although I don't want to say the exact angles here. Let me say that they are all a little different from eachother and alot of effort was made to get them right. We do have room to play with the velocity stack taper, so if we fail to make power the first time we are not going to give up!

So it looks like anodizing the cast peice is out of the question.

we have started working with the casting guy on the lower half, and still waiting to finish something before we dyno test on the NA car. it will be several weeks before testing and availability.
