Default So confused...

Ok, i'm planning on going FI. was considering APS TT or Tnetics ST, but i've been hearing about the new HKS ST and TT kits. I know HKS makes quality stuff and just wanted some input. do you guys think i should hold out for those kits then make a decision or go with one of my other choices?

edit: it turns out that Top Secret has an ST kit and is also testing a prototype for a TT...

thanks

No, and I don't see anyone bothering to do so. The TT's on the market now spool so fast the lag is almost unperceivable.

How much money are you looking at spending? You can bet that IF we see those HKS/TS kits here in the US you will be paying over 10k for the parts alone, and you can hardly beat the quality of some of the present kits on the market.

6-8k range, less if possible. i know goin FI is no cheap venture. been leaning towards to Tnetics..but whats this i hear about now being able to run an aftermarket exhaust, or has this problem be fixed? but i like the low end power that the twins should give me. also for those of you with TT how's the traction in the lower gears with all that extra power?

Yeah right... I can easily see a HKS or TS single turbo kit costing as much, if not more, than the present TT systems. A Top Secret USA rep on these boards said that the TT kit will be roughly in the $10k range if/when it comes to the US.

Turbonetics has already released a fix for the overboost issues with SOME aftermarket exhausts. It's not an issue with the new kits going out. I have an aftermarket exhaust with mine and it works fine.

All of the turbo kits on the market are going to have traction issues in 1st in 2nd. The ST kits aren't far behind the TT's in terms of lag, so no matter who you talk to, traction will always be an issue.

I can't fathom spending 10k on an HKS ST kit when it doesn't provide any more power or any more super amazing special features over the kits already available for thousands less.

I mean, if the HKS kit somehow made more power safely on the stock block, that'd be one thing....but you don't need HKS to do that, it can be done with any kit.
